Finance provides a wide range of services, to include our Controlling - Accounting team that enables business management to make better decisions and satisfy our regulatory requirements. We do this by creating and maintaining globally aligned accounting policies and efficient, rationalized processes.

The opportunity

Within Accounting, as an Accounts Receivable (AR) Coordinator, you’ll act as a discrepancy resolution specialist vs. “collector”. You’ll spend time proactivelydeveloping relationships with key internal and external client contacts, becoming an expert on a book of accounts, to implement strategies that effect prompt payment. Your work will make a big impact in revenue collection, giving you the opportunity to gain recognition as a valuable Finance team resource.

Your key responsibilities

As an AR Coordinator you’ll be responsible for the tracking of open AR, timely resolution of outstanding payment issues, monitoring and resolving of cash application,generating weekly aging reports in a timely manner and professionallyrepresent the firm’s Accounts Receivable Organization, both internally and when interacting with external client contacts.

You’ll become a specialist on your book of accounts, by conducting account research and analysis, understanding the client payment processes and implementing strategies that effect prompt payment from customers. You will establish key relationship with internal client teams to uncover client issues and take appropriate action to resolve those issues preventing customers from making prompt payment. Your positive attitude and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the business will be needed for success in this role.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); able to interface with personnel at all levels (internally and externally), as a result of strong customer service skills

  • Excellent use of grammar and punctuation

  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand client needs and requirements, including working with virtual teams

  • Proactively leverage and share knowledge with colleagues

  • Effectively and independently manage conflicting priorities, organize workflow, and team with colleagues to accomplish tasks and balance workloads

  • Effective delegation and time management skills

  • Skillful attention to details and self-assurance of quality of work performed

  • Independent worker with ability to thrive in a busy, time-sensitive environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Associates Degree in business administration or equivalent years of experience

  • 3 plus years in a specific functional accounting or finance area to include AR experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel

  • Ability to work, with no vacation taken, during the year end close process (usually from mid-May through June.)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Highly prefer AR experience in an organization that provides services vs, products
