Risk Management supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.
The Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) Supervising Associate will serve as the main point of contact for client teams within designated service lines. The person in this role will supervise the BRS team members supporting the management, preparation, research and evaluation of third-party relationships. The Supervising Associate handles complex or high-risk requests as well as escalated customer service challenges. This position maintains excellent customer and cross functional relationships, consistently applying in-depth subject matter knowledge making recommendations based on EY guidance and professional standards. The BRS Supervising Associate will interact with executive level personnel, help colleagues learn new jobs/tasks, and integrate with the team.
Your key responsibilities
Youll be the initial point of contact for individual clients or client service teams.
Youll provide research and analysis across one or more functional areas, interpret Q&RM policies, and determine responses to standard and non-standard situations.
Applying your in-depth subject matter knowledge, youll make recommendations based on EY guidance and professional standards.
Youll analyze issues and review the quality of processes. youll also document how tasks are completed, to satisfy reviews by external regulators.
Skills and attributes for success
Provide consultations to EY client teams to ensure the background materials required to initiate a Business Relationship Evaluation Tracking (BRET) are known and understood. Act as a liaison between the EY client teams, other members of the Q&RM team, and various functional areas within the firm (such as Independence, GCO, Supplier Risk Assurance) responding to inquiries and questions as needed.
Provide overall project management of designated services line requests, serving as a single point of contact on all matters related to third party relationships, providing weekly updates to service line leaders, handling escalations, rushes and requests that are more complex in nature.
Review and analyze reporting, identifying items that fall outside of established timeliness/accuracy key performance indicators (KPIs), trends or other matters to be escalated.
Conduct initial training and education of BRS team members as well as EY client teams (or other internal stakeholders) on key submission requirements.
To qualify for the role you must have
Strong verbal and written communication skills for senior-level audiences
Strong research in internal/external systems; documentation & communication of findings with senior-level employees
Experience in project management (management of resources, timeliness, deliverables/milestones)
Strong problem-solving skills upon collection of appropriate documentation and opinions
Ability to be flexible, take ownership, take initiative and contribute to the success of the team
Strong organizational skills needed to handle a high volume of work and manage multiple requests simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and technology savvy
Security clearance is required (i.e., secret level clearance)
Approximately 4 to 6 years related experience
A bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Ideally, you’ll have
The ability to understand and apply the Independence rules and policies of EY and the regulator. Learn about other Q&RM areas outside your own area
The background and experience to Independently answer complex, non-routine questions from clients and liaise between the clients and other members of Independence and Q&RM
