People Consulting – Workforce Management Consulting Manager

The opportunity

As a member of the Workforce Advisory team, you will join a talented group of professionals that help clients in a number of areas. These include the development and implementation of global workforce management (“WFM”) solutions, and transformation activities in support of broader business initiatives and overall business strategy. Our key capabilities include global WFM advisory, technology solution implementation and business transformation.

Your key responsibilities

You will be a key resource on large-scale WFM related projects, primarily UKG WFM. In this role, you should be able to deliver quality client service and work products, deliver insightful solutions and balance multiple priorities. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, integrate into and lead new teams, and rapidly establish internal and client relationships. Specifically, you will support clients’ global WFM challenges, issues and complex requirements, including advising on WFM best practices and service delivery model. You will be responsible for identifying WFM improvement initiatives and efficiency opportunities to enhance WFM quality and adherence to internal controls while reducing overall risk. You should also be able to support and deliver seamless transition during UKG WFM solution implementations and transformations.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Support client projects leveraging deep knowledge and understanding of Time Management, Attendance, Leave Management, Forecasting and Labour Scheduling and other components of Workforce management processes and systems

  • Contribute to generating profitable revenue through identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients

  • Participate in full life cycle activities (Discovery, Design, Configuration, Build, Testing, Knowledge Transfer, Migration and Postproduction Support)

  • Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for WFM transformation and WFM operational improvement initiatives and/or decisions

  • Encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst team members, and promote an inclusive working environment

  • Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities in the WFM space by developing proposals and delivering presentations

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Relevant professional experience, including previous work with a Big 4, global management consultancy firm, niche consultancy or performed an in-house role in which you gained exposure to a large-scale UKG WFM project(s)

  • Be recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more areas in the Workforce management domain (Time management, attendance, forecasting, scheduling, etc.)

  • Experience in managing or leading multiple global and/or multi-national UKG WFM and HR system implementations

  • Experience in managing or supporting global and/or multi-national WFM operations

  • 7+years of prior relevant experience

  • Personal success in current job with WFM experience in one or more of our capabilities

  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Large-scale project management experience, including budget, scope and resource management; inclusive of global or multi-national client WFM project experience

  • Global WFM consulting experience, knowledge of WFM and HR technology vendors, primarily UKG. Other technology solutions such as ADP, Workforce Software, Ceridian, PeopleSoft/Oracle, SAP, Workday, are desireable.

  • Common knowledge of WFM, with priority to UKG, business process activities; and ability to modify and apply processes depending upon client sector

  • Business development experience – proposal development, orals presentation development and delivery, CRM management, and deal-size revenue/economics/pricing creation

  • Strong numbers acumen, including analytical abilities and knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $122,300 to $224,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $146,800 to $254,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
