Supply Chain Senior Manager

The opportunity

In EY, we are looking to expand and develop our Supply Chain Advisory practice to meet market demand in a number of areas:

  • Procurement Transformation

  • Development of Supply Chain Strategy and Operating Models

  • Supply Chain Process Optimisation and Performance Improvement

  • Sustainable Supply Chain Development

Your key responsibilities

Competitive business today is all about making intelligent, informed choices. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping our clients to solve their toughest supply chain problems.

As a Senior Manager in Supply Chain, you will:

  • Have a track record of winning/delivering supply chain work in the marketplace, underpinned with a strong, trusted network

  • Be well-respected as a Supply Chain practitioner, with extensive experience in leading complex supply chain processes and large scale transformation programmes;

  • Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organisation.

  • Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the clients business.

  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.

  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge. Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.

As a respected professional you will communicate effectively with EY engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, and help key staff to build sustainable competencies.

To qualify for the role you must have

You will have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:

  • At least 7 years within a blue chip consulting firm or industry (track record in consulting is desirable);

  • Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge

  • Stakeholder management and communication experience;

  • A proven track record in delivering a suite of supply chain consulting services e.g.

  • Supply Chain Strategy Development

  • Supply Chain / Procurement Transformation

  • Supply Chain Process Improvements

  • Inventory Management

  • Supply Chain Cost Reduction Programmes

  • Proven experience in business development;

If you have a keen interest in being part of a growing Supply Chain Advisory team in Ireland as well as intellectual curiosity and energy, then the EY Advisory team could be exactly the right place for you.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong project/programme management and programme governance experience.

  • Demonstrable experience in change management;

  • Strong academic record including a third level degree.
