Firmwide Learning Manager / Strategy & Transactions Learning Partner

The opportunity

A new manager role, reporting to the Head of Talent & Organisation Development, is being created to drive the firmwide non-technical learning curriculum and strategy for Ireland (UKI and FS). Alongside this, the role will also support the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) service line as their Learning Partner.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the full firmwide learning curriculum for Ireland (UKI and FS). This will incorporate non-technical curriculum areas including: Experienced Hire and Graduate Induction, Counselling & Coaching, Markets learning, D&I learning, Communications Learning, EY Badges & Tech MBA Strategy for Ireland.

  • Input strategically to the firmwide curriculum scope and design, develop network at regional/EMEIA/Global level and leverage to minimise local duplication, propose and influence change to benefit Ireland and in relevant cases, develop solutions for bespoke local needs.

  • Actively liaise with key stakeholders including people leaders, learning champions, Subject Matter Experts, Strategic Talent Partners; Learning Partners and external learning providers to identify and meet new learning needs and test new content.

  • Develop internal learning communication andmarketing strategy for the firmwide learning curriculum to drive awareness of learning opportunitiesand resources.

  • Maintain ultimate accountability for budgets associated within the firmwide curriculum, apply commercial acumen when managing budgets, seeking value with external providers.

  • Responsibility for course deployment and delivery strategy of the full firmwide curriculum. Work with talent development co-ordinators to ensure high quality deployment of courses in line with the Regional deployment model.

  • Embrace, promote and support learning transformation (both system and shift in delivery style) with stakeholders.

  • Facilitate across the firmwide curriculum and at EMEIA and Regional learning events

  • Assume key leadership role in continual process improvement projects that positively impacts the team and our service delivery and lead on the strategic evaluation of return on investment of learning delivered and implement appropriate changes.

SaT Learning Partnering responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with the SaT practice and work closely with SaT Leadership, learning champions and UK SaT technical learning team to create and implement SaT learning strategy

  • Maintain accountability for overall SaT technical learning budget and partner with your UK learning counterparts on the budgets, course scheduling & deployment

  • Support facilitation of relevant non-technical learning within SaT and individual and team development needs

  • Learning map and competency framework creation and ongoing review

  • Completion of regular training needs analysis and implementation

  • Facilitator management for SaT including managing requests for the business, allocation of facilitators to courses where applicable, relationship management and managing the information flow between the talent development team and the facilitator pool

  • Course evaluation, reporting, feedback to facilitators and course updates where necessary

Skills and attributes for success

  • Classroom and virtual facilitation experience

  • A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and implementing process improvements and demonstrating best practice

  • Budget creation, negotiation and management skills and experience

  • Excellent team player- ability to integrate and build effective relationships at all levels

  • Ability to present and report to leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis

  • Highly organised with an attention to detail, an ability to deliver to deadlines and to prioritise effectively

  • Strong relationship Management and influencing skills

  • Proactive problem solver, creative thinker and a solution orientated approach

  • Strong team player with an enthusiastic, can do approach

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong IT skills – MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience in learning design, facilitation and deployment

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • CIPD, IITD qualification (desirable) or alternative qualification

  • Learning and development experience in a professional services firm or similar
