EMEIA FSO (Financial Services Office) comprises 18 countries across Western Europe. The EMEIA FSO Regional Leadership Team (RLT) are supported by a team of risk management professionals providing consultation services and support to engagements teams on matters of policy, risk management, quality and compliance as well as related process.
In addition to managing the strategic risks, Risk Management also focus on external regulatory and political risk, market risk, and the risk facing a large financial services-driven operation. Risk Management oversees EMEIA FSO-wide activities designed to help all of our people meet our global and local compliance responsibilities, and support our client-facing teams in delivering quality and exceptional client service.
You will be required to lead the compliance area within the EMEIA FSO region. Increasing expectations from EMEIA FSO’s largest clients (G360), driven by their own regulatory compliance requirements, is increasing the need for processes to address this compliance. EY’s vision 2020 strategy growth has emphasized this especially by the development of new service offerings, including managed services and digital. A Compliance Senior Manager is required to focus on the internal compliance agenda of the region and to improve EMEIA FSO’s compliance with collaboration with our ‘host regions’ who run the day to day compliance processes.
Your key responsibilities
Work with the business to define the compliance approach in order to meet client requirements
Ensure compliance requirements are implemented and conduct an annual review of the compliance inventory and annual assessment on how the region maintain compliance and update and maintain service line agreements with the FSO ‘host’ regions accordingly
Manage and investigate potential compliance breaches of rules & regulations and procedures & policies
Report to the regional Risk Committee on a regular basis ensuring they are aware of compliance issues and risks in a timely manner
Contribute to the overall Risk Management team agenda by forming part of the senior team with input into Risk Governance and Regulatory and Public Policy projects and supporting day to day management and development of junior team members

To qualify for the role you must have
Extensive Risk Management and regulatory compliance knowledge and experience
Experience in a professional services firm and strong understanding of our products and services
Good organizational, project management and time management skills with a strong focus on delivering results including an ability to plan ahead and anticipate problems.
Ideally, you’ll also haveWillingness to travel, demonstrable experience at SM level and the ability to develop trusted business relationships with senior stakeholders
