Technology Risk provides assessment and attestation services to help companies and decision-makers attain confidence in understanding and managing business risks related to technology. The ability to understand these risks and bridge the knowledge gap that often exists between business and technology is the core strength of Technology Risk professionals. Technology Risk helps companies achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts to protect business performance, and by providing trusted communications on internal control and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders.

The Service Delivery Center is an integral component of the Risk practice. The Service Delivery Center professionals are high-performing, US-based resources who work closely with our region-based Risk professionals to deliver assessment and attestation services, such as financial statement audits, internal audits, internal control testing, system and organization control reporting and other advisory projects, to help companies:

  • Create trust and confidence in financial reporting

  • Provide trusted communications and assurance on internal control or related to regulatory compliance to customers, alliances, strategic partners, governments and authorities

  • Meet evolving regulatory and compliance requirements

  • See the big picture related to technology risks

  • Identify, improve and respond to risks from advances in technology

  • Build trust in new technology products and services from the outset

  • Undertake proactive technology risk mitigation

  • Control compliance costs

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Plan and supervise IT-related external and internal audit and attestation procedures for private and public companies

  • Apply IT-related internal control and data analytics knowledge to deliver high quality projects, addressing financial, operational and compliance risks, strengthening internal control and improving and protecting business performance while providing business insights and value to clients

  • Consistently apply professional standards by relevant bodies, including the PCAOB rules, the AICPA and the Institute of Internal Auditors

  • Demonstrate the value of risk management above and beyond the regulatory and compliance mandates

  • Utilize an advanced understanding of the clients industry and key performance drivers to understand how business trends, and emerging technology and industry developments affect the client

  • Develop an advanced understanding of clients’ business and IT environment and brief the project team

  • Supervise documentation of business and IT-related processes, risks and controls in accordance with EY methodologies based on information collected from clients and participate in performing procedures focusing on complex, judgmental and specialized issues

  • Manage completion of project tasks, provide guidance and review documentation, analysis, results and observations

  • Demonstrate and apply relevant complex audit and technology concepts to client situations and make recommendations and suggestions for improvements in clients’ processes and controls

  • Develop an understanding of project structure, assumptions and constraints and manage the completion of project

  • Monitor project economics, calculate metrics, develop or update metrics reports and update key stakeholders on project economics

  • Inspire teamwork, responsibility and accountability and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds

  • Manage resources, communications and constraints related to multiple concurrent projects

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively negotiate priorities across multiple stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across EY functional groups

  • Maintain knowledge of general business and economic trends, current technology developments relevant to clients’ business, professional standards and relevant EY methodology

  • Use EY technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of projects

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation and personal organization skills

  • Ability to develop and coach professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds in a way that inspires and promotes personal leadership

  • Flexibility and confidence to work with a distributed team

  • Ability to manage large teams in a metrics driven, multi-project environment, supporting distributed teams and clients

  • Ability to evaluate project structure, assumptions and constraints and adjust, if necessary

  • Ability to manage and meet project deadlines and economics

  • Ability to effectively negotiate priorities across multiple stakeholders

  • Experience working with accounting, business and technology concepts

  • Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) skills

  • Ability to become proficient with MS Visio and EY proprietary technology

  • Excellent English language skills – both written and verbal

  • Travel may be required up to 30% of your time

Supervision Responsibilities:

Direct, supervise and review the work of Service Delivery Center Associate Analysts, Analysts and Senior Analysts

Job Requirements:


A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in general business, accounting, finance, economics, computer science, information systems or a related discipline


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, within industry, or in a related job competency

  • Experience in applying relevant technical knowledge in at least one of the following competencies: (a) financial statement audits; (b) internal control or operational audits; (c) System and Organization Controls Reporting; and/or (d) application security and control reviews


Have achieved a relevant certification such as aCA, CGEIT, CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CMA, CPA, CRISC TM .If non-certified, must become certified within 1 year from the date of hire.
