The opportunity

EY’s FSO Banking Capital Markets and Insurance (“BCM&I”) practice will give you the opportunity to further develop your skills while assisting our financial services clients in dealing with the operational challenges that their tax functions are facing today. We offer a broad array of services, including program management, tax accounting and compliance process management, data management and technology enhancements for the tax function.

Your key responsibilities

Depending on the needs of our clients and your work experience, there are many different types of projects you may work on. Some examples include setting up and assisting with managing large data and project management tasks, planning and discussing program management tasks with engagement teams. As a senior, you would be working with engagement leadership to run these exciting and impactful projects.

In this role, we will be fully remote but may need to come into an EY office, if needed, once or twice per year.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong leadership ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, analytical abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Identification and escalation of program and project-level risks and issues

  • Understanding in conducting dependency analyses across an integrated workplan containing multiple workstreams or projects

  • Ability to coordinate with functions outside of Tax

  • Understanding of broader FSO Tax offerings and their application to ongoing tasks

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree and a minumum of 3 years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 1-2 years of relevant work experience

  • Exposure to the financial services industry is helpful, as well as accounting/finance/tax, or program/ data management.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience using MS Project and/or other project management tools

  • Knowledge of how to use Microsoft related programs such as Excel
