Major Responsibilities/Duties: Area SL Strategic Partnering

  • Work with Area Tax Talent Leader to determine Asia-Pacific Tax Talent priorities and a plan to execute on priorities

  • Proactively monitor Area Tax performance, identifying Talent issues, providing the business with insights and providing Talent advice to help drive business performance

  • Provide insight to the Asia-Pacific Tax Leadership team and the Area Tax Talent Leader on Talent issues, offering a challenging and robust professional point of view

  • Respond to complex and urgent Talent queries pertaining to key stakeholder group, facilitating delivery of these through the Area Talent Team

  • Support the Area Tax Talent Leader in evaluating and responding to requests from Tax for support and initiatives on the Talent implications of the wider business strategy

  • Prepare presentations and reports as requested by the Area Tax Talent Leader

Implementation of Talent Priorities

  • Facilitate and monitor the execution of agreed Global and Area Talent priorities in Tax

  • Project lead the implementation of the agreed priorities and act as a project leader on key projects

  • Act as change agent in Tax, ensuring that Talent priorities are implemented in a way that provides solutions to business needs & issues

  • Represent the Area Tax Talent leader when required and articulate the views of Tax in a clear and concise manner

Talent Processes and Priorities

  • Manage and improve the Asia-Pacific Tax element of Talent projects and processes, such as Mobility Pipeline, Global New Horizon, NextGen, LEAD, headcount planning, partner pipeline either acting as an interface between the Regions and the Area or running them in the Area.

  • Provide relevant HR data and updates on projects to the Tax

Team leadership

  • Coordinate communication with the Area Tax Talent team, Regional Tax Talent team, Area Talent Team and the Tax Operations team

  • Organize Tax Talent team meetings/calls in charge of setting the agenda

  • Manage the relationship with the GDS team

Acquisitions and Team lift outs

  • Ensure alignment with project plan and guidelines, across all regionals and countries

  • Manage Regional and local Talent teams

  • Provide guidance and support to Regional Talent leaders

  • Escalate all issues and provide solutions to the Talent workstream

  • Track progress and report to project manager

  • Ensure alignment with seller

  • Act as a single Point of contact for CDO, deal team and local country resources

  • Assist with resourcing deals by establishing network connections in the regions

  • Establish and monitor integration plans

The position holder will perform other responsibilities and tasks as required to achieve the agreed performance outcomes.

Objectives/Measures

  • Ability to set and execute a defined agenda of Tax Talent priorities that align with Global & Area Tax and Talent priorities and address local strategic imperatives

  • Demonstrated success against detailed strategic Talent plan for Asia-Pacific Tax

  • Success against metrics set in conjunction with Area Tax Executive (i.e. reduction in under performers across service line, talent acquisition targets, retention of high performers)

  • Effective implementation of Acquisitions and team lift outs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or Post Graduate qualification

Experience

Ideally, approximately 8 - 10 years of experience as an HR, OD, Recruitment or Learning professional, including:

  • Strong understanding of underlying global HR, OD, Recruitment and/or Learning best practice methodology

  • Change Management

  • Mergers and Acquisitions

  • HR reporting & analytics

  • Financial modelling/forecasting/cost benefit/ROI analysis as applicable to Human Resource Management

  • Project Management

  • Experience in mobility and recruiting would be an advantage

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with leadership

  • Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to lead cross-cultural teams

  • Strong English language skills

  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
