The FSO Asia-Pacific Accounts and Business Development (BD) team is looking for a high caliber Business Development Operations Manager in Hong Kong. This individual will support the Business Development Leader in executing the Accounts and Business Development strategy and will be responsible for managing a number of Accounts and BD projects. This is a high visibility position, providing a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to work closely with Asia-Pacific senior leadership team in a fast-paced environment and obtain a strong understanding of EY Financial Services business in Asia Pacific.
- Support Business Development Leader in managing Regional Business Development (BD) Team:
o Serve as a central point of contact for individuals on BD strategy or key initiatives
o Develop content for executive level presentations, business cases and reports
o Own and coordinate BD meetings (timings, agenda, materials)
o Manage BD Transformation
o Onboarding of new BD members
o Operationalize the sharing of BD best practice
o Working with Diversity & Inclusiveness teams to drive initiatives across the region
o Driving transformation projects related to BD across the region
· Manage offshore support for markets function:
o Execution and oversight of offshoring account and BD coordination
· Pursuit and pipeline management:
o Ensuring proper CRM and pipeline management practices are applied across the region
o Support BD leader in challenging BD community and pursuit teams on strategic approach to winning deals, ensuring we have right winning strategy and pursuits process in place to improve our chances of winning in the market
o Ensuring we are using EY’s proven sales methodology on all key pursuits.
o Instilling the Exceptional Client Service (ECS) principles across the BD community and overseeing the client satisfaction program – ASQ
· Connecting with area and global:
o Participating in global and area BD meetings and networking calls
o Participating in internal and external sessions demonstrating EY Go-to-Market tools (i.e. Growth Navigator, Growing Beyond Borders, EY Benchmarking )
· Budgeting and cost management:
o Responsible for Budgeting and forecasting BD spend for the region
o Manage BD headcount and budgeting with BD leader
o Measure and monitor cost of sales investment (e.g. monitor, control and assess BD investment)
Qualifications, Education and Certification
To qualify, candidates must have:
A Bachelor degree with relevant postgraduate/professional qualification is desirable
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in business development, account management, operations and/or consultancy
Professional Services industry related knowledge/experience and commercial acumen.
Understanding of EY organization (Global, Areas, Regions, Service Lines and Functions) is preferred but not mandatory
Strong project management experience and organizational skills
Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Proven ability in data analysis and reporting with strong attention to detail and data integrity
Excellent problem solving skills, confidence to propose new ideas and ability to influence at all levels
Professional and confident with first rate interpersonal skills
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
Excellent written and spoken English. Chinese language a plus.
Work on own initiative unsupervised and ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and prioritize effectively
Eagerness to contribute in a virtual team environment and ability to work cooperatively with other teams across Asia-Pacific, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity
Service-orientated personality, proficient at delivering high quality work within deadlines
