Americas Assurance Executive Communications Lead, Associate Director

The Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) function has an important role to play in helping to achieve EY’s ambition to create long-term value as the world’s most trusted, distinctive professional services organization. The opportunity

Americas Assurance is undergoing significant transformation and needs to add a seasoned executive communicator to the team to support leadership in delivering highly impactful internal and external communications.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with Americas Assurance leadership to develop executive communications that can help drive business results and support the senior team in managing change.

Your remit will include:

• Working with senior leadership to develop narratives, speeches, videos and other deliverables that support business objectives.

• Leading on the development of enablement material for the business such as audit committee materials and client facing communications.

• Developing external facing assets (LinkedIn, Ey.com, byline content, live presentations, webcast prep) to amplify our brand in the market.

• Supporting employment brand, recruiting and university relations activities that directly engage our Assurance Service Line leaders and professionals.

Skills and attributes for success

• Understanding of the Assurance business, particularly the audit practice

• Ability to turn ideas into actionable communications activities; think strategically and be a point of integration for the practice

• Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively

• Ability to synthesize complex information into simple, high impact messages

To qualify for the role you must have

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or related field, MBA or master’s degree desired

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences

• Strong business acumen and understanding of how environmental factors affect the firm, practice, markets, and solutions

• Confidence in presenting complex or nuanced ideas, anticipating potential objections, interpreting responses to present alternative solutions and influence others

• Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills – ability to identify and coordinate resources where applicable

• Poise to professionally interact with all levels of leadership

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of finance and accounting

• Experience with change management communications

• Appetite to explore innovative use of technology, multimedia and research to achieve communications goals

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $125,900 to $235,500. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $151,100 to $267,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
