Technology Risk – Senior – Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Sector - Consulting

The opportunity

Within EY Consulting, we work extensively to assess the technological risks associated with the business analytics relied upon by technology and media stakeholders operating within the advertising ecosystem. Through our examinations of startup to Fortune 500 organizations, we support industry efforts to establish trust within the ecosystem and to provide purpose driven career growth opportunities for our people.

Your key responsibilities

  • Perform attestation-based 3rd party reporting examinations

  • Perform findings and recommendations “gap assessments” over organizations entering into industry accreditation processes

  • Collaborate with teams versed in relevant subject matter and industry issues, to conclude on compliance with industry requirements

  • Maintain professional working relationships across approximately 40+ organizations under examination

  • Support engagement planning efforts and project management throughout the completion of examinations

  • Conduct walkthrough meetings to assess process design effectiveness

  • Perform substantive and sample-based controls testing to assess operational effectiveness of processes used to produce advertising and media industry analytics

  • Compile documentation of client deliverables, including performance of detail review over examination workpapers prepared by staff-members

  • Staff, coach and develop staff-members in the performance of key responsibilities

  • Draft attestation options and findings and recommendations reports, inclusive of related presentation materials to facilitate review of examination results with key stakeholders

  • Develop proficiency in media measurement methodologies, industry standards, compliance assessment, IT general controls, data analytics and machine learning

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business, accounting, information systems or a related discipline

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within industry

  • Bring your experience in applying relevant technical knowledge in at least one of the following engagements: (a) financial statement audits; (b) internal or operational audits; (c) Service Organization Controls Reporting engagements; and/or (d) ERP security and control reviews (Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft)

  • We would expect for you to be available to travel outside of their assigned office location at least 50% of the time, plus commute within the region (where public transportation often is not available). Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary. A valid passport is required.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • CPA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CBCP, CIA, CIPP, CGEIT certification is desired; non-certified hires are required to become certified to be eligible for promotion to Manager.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $83,600 to $153,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $100,300 to $174,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
