EY's Transformation Design & Execution (TD&E) practice works across a variety of industries to help our clients successfully deliver business transformations by connecting strategy and execution. This career opportunity seeks individuals who not only understand the role technology plays in large scale transformations, but who have experience in designing and integrating technology and business processes to produce value driven solutions.
As a Manager TD&E IT Project Manager (PM), you will be part of a larger TD&E engagement team serving one client at a time. You will lead projects that build on and/or enhance existing technology solutions. PMs provide the projects with agile or waterfall planning, execution management, governance, and reporting support. The PM is essential to facilitating meetings to connect stakeholders and reduce project delivery risks.
In the agile context, PMs may hold responsibilities for the planning, organization, and execution of agile scrum ceremonies.
Your key responsibilities
Project Management responsibilities:
Support waterfall and agile project approaches/methodologies
Monitor and track milestones and schedules; inclusive of status, dependencies, achievements, and risks/issues
Organize and conduct escalation, blocker removal, and status meetings
Uncover, triage, and highlight impediments impacting an on-time project completion
Prepare content for steerco and quarterly divisional reviews
Coordinate across project stakeholders and assist with internal and external communication
Capture and maintain PM documentation
Capture, track, monitor, and maintain estimates for project labor hours (internal/external)
Organize and execute agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, demos, retrospectives as relevant to the project delivery methodology
Project Manager deliverables:
Milestone status and updates
Quarterly status review content
Risk and issue tracking
Sprint demo documentation
Agile Scrum Master responsibilities:
Align delivery team ways-of-working to the standards and practices of clients
Manage agile ceremonies, monitor and manage sprint execution, dependency alignment, blocker chasing/resolution, etc.
Plan and execute delivery team activities in operations in an agile manner (e.g., via Jira, standard scrum or Kanban, with a focus on velocity measurement and improvement)
Capture, monitor, manage, and resolve cross-team/capability team dependencies and produce regular progress reporting (e.g., burndowns, velocity, demos)

To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor's or master's degree
Approximately 5+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience leading business functions in at least one of the following areas:
Business or technology consulting, transformation/PMO/EPMO design, target operating model, process design and re-engineering, maturity assessment, capability roadmap development, strategy, and operations, change management, end-to-end technology implementation, data framework and automation & digital design and enablement.
Proven success in leading and developing a team of staff/senior consulting professionals
Experience in account and engagement management
Involvement driving business development efforts. Experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, Proposal, Client Presentation, SOW and Execution) and understanding of client procurement processes. Experience supervising proposal-writing and presenting during RFP process
Strong communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues, at all levels
Ability to formulate and articulate questions to facilitate a quick understanding of a client's business
Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies and willingness to learn how to configure them
Strong intellectual abilities and rigor balanced with practical sense of what works and what does not
Strive to lead themselves, their teams, and their communities, and who can foster effective teamwork to drive results
Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization
Ideally, you'll also have
A bachelors or master's degree with an emphasis in Business, Computer Systems, Engineering and/or Economics
Potential certifications include: Agile, LEAN Six Sigma, Prosci, CBPA
Sector experience in areas such as Life Sciences, Technology, Power and Utilities and Consumer Products
A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated (60%)
