Job summary:

  • Ensure that customers receive the highest quality deliverables with respect to editorial support

  • objectively review deliverables to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax

  • check content for language, flow and grammar issues

  • rewrite (or suggest so) sentences to improve readability, if required

  • provide assistance to the writers/customers to construct clear and concise sentences that are not only correct but also flow and read well

Essential functions of the job:

  • Review deliverables to ensure quality and consistency in their content with respect to EY writing style norms

  • Edit deliverables with a keen eye for detail

  • Ensure compliance with EY copyright laws

  • Interact and collaborate with internal teams on projects involving multiple teams

  • Review and/or assist in developing and refining graphical representations, e.g., charts, graphs and tables


  • Strong written English skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audience

  • Effective presentation skills (helpful for providing constructive and relevant feedback to customers)

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other standard applications

  • Experience in editing content in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel formats desirable

  • Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and remain calm and focused under pressure

  • Ability to retain the author's 'voice' after editing

  • Good concentration, to focus on texts that may be lengthy

  • Ability to work on content from different domains like Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals, Tax and others

  • Experience in working in US English

  • Logical and structured in thought and communication; ability to accurately comprehend ideas, expectations and concerns

  • Have strong work ethics, team spirit and interpersonal skills

Job requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Business and/or Business Communications preferred


  • Approximately 2-4 years of related experience, preferred in the same industry (consulting and professional services)

  • Technical writers, instructional designers and digital media writers with relevant skills and experience can also be considered
