Role name and description
We at EY are looking for a Manager for the Conflict Checking team under Risk Management Services (RMS) based out of GDS Kochi.
The incumbent will manage the conflict checking process at the Kochi Centre, serving multiple customer groups and will lead a team of conflict checkers and supervisors. He/she will be responsible for the team’s productivity, quality of service, performance management, recruitment and development of the team members. He/she will also assist the RMS leadership in socialising the RMS services to the existing and potential customer groups and further enhancing the outreach of services.
SERVICE DELIVERY: CONSTITUTING 40% OF THE ROLE
Coordinates the implementation of Global Delivery Services (GDS) support to conflict checking process across multiple customers
Develops comprehensive knowledge of EY Global / local conflict policies and can apply them to real situations as needed
Builds up significant domain expertise on conflict checking and other related RMS processes and tools
Assists in managing efficiency and productivity of team members on a day-to-day basis. Ensures adherence to conflict checking work-flow protocol and tools.
Proposes suggestions and solutions for improvements to processes. Identifies and reports best practices within area of focus.
Coordinates training schedules for new and existing members of the team.
Able to work with/ influence (wherever required) people at all levels in the organization.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: CONSTITUTING 30% OF THE ROLE.
Responsible for performance management and appraisals of the team.
Coaches and mentors team members for professional development, and recommends training requirements to address perceived gaps
Conducts one on one meeting with counselees and skip level meetings for counselee’s counselees.
Manages and enables career development plan for the wider team.
Conducts and leads the hiring process.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT: CONSTITUTING 30% OF THE ROLE
Responsible for consultation or escalation of conflict checks to Area Conflicts Leaders or Regional Conflict Coordinators on a timely basis/ as needed.
Work along with the leadership in meeting the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Managing the client’s expectation through a robust client management framework.
Responsible for responding to client escalations and ensuring preventive actions are put in place.

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, including creativity and innovative thinking

Ability to work flexibly over different shifts as needed, and to work in late evening/ night shifts catering to a wide span of global stakeholders mainly US/ Americas.

What we look for
MBA from a reputed institute or a post-graduate degree.
With 10-12 years of rich experience in; -
Compliance functions in Big 4 or other professional service organizations with geographically diverse workforce.
Demonstrated ability to execute against project plans and expectations
Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English
Advanced MS Office knowledge (especially in excel, presentation (ppts))
Proficient research & analysis skills (knowledge of databases – desirable)
