The Supervising Associate – QA leads a team of specialists in the function, for planning test strategies, implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts). This role plays an important part in our product development, UAT and release processes.

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

  • Lead the team to create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts

  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming products and train users to implement solutions

  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

  • Experience in using tools such as JIRA for defect tracking and analysis

  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Lead a team of QA associates

  • Demonstrates a deep knowledge of QA process, methodologies across Software development and learning technology domain

  • Proficient and remains up-to-date with latest tools and best practices

  • Maintains awareness of “state-of-the-art” techniques, best practices and developments within the QA community

  • Understands, implements, and strictly adheres to the quality standards and procedures established by EY

  • Lead and interact closely with the EY GDS Service Excellence team and other stakeholders

  • Participate in weekly LSS leadership calls and provide updates and inputs to QA and other areas

  • Demonstrates the value of team’s work by keeping the client up-to-date, and explaining issues, approaches and solutions (i.e. managing expectations)

  • Enable and foster the culture of knowledge sharing among team members

  • Responsible to lead the QA teams and will have associated people management / performance management responsibilities.

  • Acts as a counselor / mentor for the QA function

  • Responsible for skills development of the team

  • Acts as change agent for new business processes and procedures in the domain

Experience:

Education:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in a science or technology subject.

Experience:

  • Total experience of 10 years with at least 8 years’ experience in related areas

  • Experience in similar role with strong skills in stakeholder management

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience in managing multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Focus on innovation and ability to adapt to changing scenarios

  • Communication skills: Excellent communications skills in English language.

  • Tools: Excellent knowledge of QA processes and hands-on experience with automated testing tools

  • Extensive experience in analysis and presentation of data in an easy to understand format

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Proven influencer and communicator with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences including senior management Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
