The opportunity

The Account Coordinator will work with the global account team (Account Manager, Director and Global Client Service Partners) to support achieving the global revenue, margin and sales/ pipeline goals and strategy plan. The Account Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, communication and administration activities relating to each portfolio and may work on multiple accounts across a Region

Your key responsibilities

Account Coordination

  • Work with the account team to develop and implement the Account Plan for each financial year and monitor this against established milestones and targets

  • Act as the central point of contact for the global Account Team, play an instrumental role in coordination by maintaining strong internal relationships with the your wider network, including other service lines and departments

  • Understand your clients' strategy, issues, culture, challenges to enhance the account management approach. Help your internal stakeholders deliver the full EY credential.

  • Assist in developing the account onboarding needs of the account team which may include maintaining appropriate materials and conducting onboarding sessions

  • Assist in annual revenue planning activities and ongoing monitoring of that throughout the year through the sales & revenue reports

  • Manage the offshore account team to be in line with the global account strategy and requirements. Monitor and review their work, analyse the data reports produced and present to senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrate risk-awareness in day to day activities and ensure account independence protocols are fully adhered to

Client Relationship Activities

  • Implement stakeholder maps to understand key client relationships including their strength and quality, the background of key individuals and frequency of interaction

  • Map EY thought leadership and insights to target relevant clients

  • Organise account client events, manage corporate entertainment opportunities and identifying clients for receiving mailshots and invitations.

  • Overall maintenance of Interaction (client contact information) for the account

  • Develop the ASQ (Assessment of Service Quality) annual plan in conjunction with the account team and arrange the set-up of the planned ASQ interviews

Sales & Reporting

  • Own the management of the sales pipeline for your account including:

  • Capture all pursuits / sales information from pursuit leaders

  • Monitor and update all pursuits, monitor the win/loss analysis on a monthly basis.

  • Manage the account revenue & pipeline process and drive global best practice

  • Identify and investigate any sales pipeline or finance revenue errors or anomalies, escalating issues for resolution

  • Support and produce responses to requests for proposals (RFP's), supplier questionnaires proposals or submissions to client

Communication

  • Assist with communications on the account — both internal to the account (newsletters, account sites, etc.) and external to the client (procurement MI, value scorecards, etc.)

  • Maintain team calendar and document repository in account management system

Research and Knowledge Management

  • Work with Account and Knowledge Teams to establish requirements and protocols and develop and implement a knowledge plan for the Account Team

  • Supply Account Team with annual reports, organisational charts, regular newsletters, monthly review of news articles (from Factiva, One Source etc.)

  • Identify service lines, industry sectors that are not represented on the Account Team that could benefit the client

  • Support sales pursuits by producing marketing collateral, credentials, research, business analysis and competitive intelligence

Skills and attributes for success

  • Advanced MS Office skills preferred (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including strong command of English

  • Ability to review reports, interpret data and identify trends that will assist in the management of the account

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrable ability to facilitate the identification and shaping of opportunities across Service Lines

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Related work experience, ideally, in financial or professional services organization

  • A bachelor’s or equivalent relevant experience

Experience:

  • Professional Services experience preferred

  • Proven exceptional customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive customer experiences

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and geographically and with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Proven ability to work effectively under-pressure and to manage conflicting stakeholder and work demands

  • Demonstrated project management experience preferred
