Technology Consulting business is a fast-growing service line within EY. A dynamic group focused on providing high value independent, trusted advice to clients, with a focus on transformation programmes.
The Technology Transformation service line works with clients in creating value and delivering world-class IT capabilities to support business needs. Working closely with our industry groups and leveraging the EY brand as independent, trusted advisors, we provide our high profile clients with range of services including:
CIO / CTO Advisory
Cloud (Strategy, Optimisation and Migration)
We are seeing massive growth and potential in Technology Transformation across multiple sectors including Retail, Auto, Telecom, Life Sciences, Government, etc.
This is a leadership role guiding clients on their IT vision, strategy and roadmap as they embark on and build their cloud journey. Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients’ team and we’ll look to you to provide them with a unique business perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive with cloud technologies in this ever-changing industry.
Your key responsibilities
Help clients to plan out their cloud journey. Establish the why, the what and the how of making the transition to the Cloud. Help establish the business case. Document the overall roadmap for change.
Provide guidance on key cloud decisions and how they will be made; which application in which Cloud in which service model via which migration approach.
Advise on establishing a cloud operating model including setting up a customer CoE, cloud operations, change management and governance.
Team with various EY groups with digital and cloud capabilities to pursue and deliver end-to-end digital engagements and enable solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life. The role involves sales / sales support, practice development and engagement delivery
Have expertise in diff aspects of Cloud journey including Cloud Strategy, Cloud Optimisation and Cloud Migration
Build a profitable practice and establish the firm’s image nationally in the realm of high end Technology Transformation Consulting.
Contribute to continued growth and profitability for EY, by identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities in existing and potential clients for own and other areas of the firm.
The individual should be adept at people development and management for the practice.
Build long-term relationships with key client decision makers which are based on mutual respect; act as a trusted advisor to key decision makers.
Be a thought leader on Enterprise IT adoption/strategies and on adoption of state of the art technology trends and emerging design patterns. Should be able to represent the firm in leading conferences/forums on Information Technology issues and trends.
Lead and direct multiple engagements profitably.
Identify when projects have or are likely to run inefficiently and take steps to avoid recurrence in future.
Anticipate a range of issues/opportunities when managing major changes and plan to enlist requisite expertise.
Contribute to implementing and enhancing the firm’s policies and procedures for knowledge management and management of the firm’s intellectual capital.
Would be involved in supporting on-going engagements and attempting to up-sell
Would need to get involved in fresh pursuits
Should have led pursuit teams including conceptualizing propositions and presenting solutions to client
Candidate would have to take on leading role for some engagements and provide thought leadership as well as subject expertise to the teams executing engagements
Would also be involved in client management / client expectation management
To qualify for the role, you must have
Substantial relevant experience, preferably with a Big 4 or an MNC or Top 4 IT consulting organization.
Proven track record of successful delivery of large engagements in area of Technology Transformation and Cloud
Relevant cloud Certifications with a major cloud provider such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Professional Cloud Architect.
Good understanding of UK markets with strong emphasis on the key business and cultural differences between business environments
People management experience in managing large teams with strong client relationship and account management skills
Experience and comfort in dealing with CXO level executives across all functions of a customer’s enterprise.
Excellent technical skills with proven ability to originate deals and anticipate the future strategic needs of clients.
Ability to influence, persuade and be credible. Able to establish trust and build on-going client relationships.
Should have significant expertise in conducting ROI analysis for IT investments and preferably have good exposure to multiple business domains.
Ability to network with other parts of EY is critical; experience and comfort in driving account and industry segment agenda in a collaborative matrix environment.
Experience in building, leading and coaching teams in order to achieve business objectives.
Ability to provide strategic leadership; with good decision-making, planning and organizational skills.
Experience of working with other Directors/ Partners to direct customer business strategies to align with company’s business strategies
