EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster, and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) – EWT supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
Join our End User Technology Experience (EUTX) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability.
The Business and Technology Change Engagement Lead will support the deployment of various EUTX programs internally within EY (this role does not have external client facing responsibilities).
At a high level, the Business and Technology Change Engagement Lead will be responsible for:
Driving the adoption and high satisfaction of EUTX service offerings
Planning, managing and executing the overall deployment and business change activities for a defined program
Ensure the target country is ready for adoption, including aspects of organizational, operational and technical readiness
Working with other leads within the team to tailor materials and playbooks for the execution of a defined change program
Working with country and service line SMEs to tailor programs for knowledge and learning
Liaising with the other internal EY organizations
Establishing change networks within a given country or service line
Using data to provide insights about program performance, and recommending changes to such programs
Critical to this role is prior experience managing change programs of a technical nature.
Essential Functions of the Job
The Business and Technology Change Lead will:
Drive high levels of adoption and satisfaction of EUTX services.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within EY Technology and various countries and service lines to ensure program and business alignment.
Develop and manage tailored program plans for deployment and change, for a given country or service line, to promote the acceptance and usage of the services introduced in countries.
Execute all relevant project management processes.
Ensure the target country is ready for adoption, working with operations, networks and product owners.
Tailor as necessary the appropriate business change artefacts to support the delivery of a deployment.
Work closely with the communications teams (global and local) to modify communication and learning materials for the new service specific to country and service line requirements.
Identify business change impacts arising from the introduction of a new service and account for these in the project change plan.
Identify and establish change networks.
Provide on-going support to change networks to ensure effective execution of the program and satisfaction with the service.
Work with product teams for any required technical modifications or issue resolution.
As necessary, lead the execution of deployment test cases specific to the country or service line.
Monitor key performance metrics and conduct analyses to understand drivers of performance.
Demonstrate continuous adaptability, having a primary focus but also executing multiple assignments varying in scope.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
History driving business change for technology-based programs
Project management of IT programs with small-medium, matrixed teams
Strong verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications (empathy with the end user, combined with an ability to draft ‘business ready’ documents and communications)
History of working credibly with senior stakeholders
Ability to work with people in a variety of countries and time zones
History working in a large, heavily matrixed enterprise
Excellent people management skills
Strong collaborator who values teaming
Self-driven with ability to work independently without detailed oversight
Calm under pressure and able to manage competing priorities
Passionate, committed and determined
Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
Periodic travel may be required within a given geography
Experience in large-scale IT environment
Previous experience working with Tax, Assurance or Advisory profession services is highly desired
College degree in business management or computer science
MBA highly desired.
