People Advisory Services (PAS) is one of the fastest growing teams in EY, providing end-to-end offerings to assist our clients in delivering on their people agendas. Our focus areas include:

In order to drive forward the growth of PAS we are seeking experienced Change and Organisational Design (OD) Managers with relevant expertise to support the growth of the team and successfully deliver client assignments.

Being in the Financial Services team within PAS means we work with clients who are influenced by the environment in which they operate. The team is working with some of the biggest names in the Financial Services sector as they address the challenges posed by market conditions, competition, customer trends and regulators to deliver real, sustainable change across all levels of their organisations.

Opportunities exist to contribute to the engagements and direction of the rapidly expanding PAS team, for individuals with a deep interest in People Advisory work, a proven delivery record and an enthusiasm for building a strong, focused team.

Your key responsibilities

Client responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of change management workstreams through the entire cycle of organisation transformation; managing large, blended delivery teams and engaging directly with senior client sponsors

  • Structure the design and delivery of change management workstreams in an effective way, managing delivery against planned timelines, scope and budget; focusing on achieving programme goals and exceeding client expectations

  • Promote the alignment of senior stakeholders, defining shared accountabilities for delivery and co-developing a compelling vision for change

  • Translate organisations’ strategic goals into an effective target operating model; underpinned by a robust organisational design (including clear roles, responsibilities, reporting lines) and governance framework

  • Identify the change impacts associated with transformation; assessing the nature and scale of impact on the roles, responsibilities, ways of working and behaviours of impacted groups

  • Build a change strategy and roadmap to address the identified change impacts, considering the use of communications & engagement, learning & development and behavioural change interventions

  • Implement revised TOM and change roadmap as part of transformation, in a controlled manner, ensuring lessons learnt and captured and reflected on an ongoing basis

  • Provide insightful, practical and sustainable solutions to emerging business problems and delivery challenges

  • Proactively manage senior client stakeholders, including delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues, up to Senior Management and C-Suite levels

Business Development

  • Contribute towards and lead business development and client pursuit efforts by preparing proposals and discussion documents, and participating in client conversations and presentations

  • Take a lead role in the development of core solutions/offerings; conducting research into the competitive landscape, sharing insights and lessons learnt from experience, and contributing to external marketing campaigns

  • Pro-actively identify and build new opportunities and client relationships within an industry sector or across a particular account

  • Maintain client relationships, by acting as a trusted advisor and acting with integrity

  • Stay abreast to changes in the market and emerging trends/challenges

Practice and People management

  • Manage team workload, by delegating tasks to less experienced team members and overseeing progress; provide ongoing timely, authentic and constructive feedback and support

  • Provide ongoing quality assurance of all team outputs, and share ongoing insights into best practice knowledge and expertise with team members

  • Actively seek out learning opportunities for less experiences team members, and create a ‘safe environment’ to support their development

  • Encourage development of team members though formal and informal coaching

  • Assists with the integration and inclusion of new team members

  • Reinforce our values, through day to day behaviour and challenge disrespectful behaviour

Skills and attributes for success

  • Be professional, quickly establishing personal credibility and demonstrating expertise

  • Have strong personal impact and resilience, and be able to influence and persuade clients and other stakeholders to gain support for major changes and key decisions

  • Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement

  • Be able to analyse complex problems and to deliver insightful, practical and sustainable solutions

  • Be skilled in facilitating and encouraging collaboration amongst team members, and capable of motivating teams to maximise performance

  • Be confident and effective in recognising and managing potential issues during client assignments

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Seasoned management consultant/HR professional with relevant experience in advising clients on large scale transformation programmes

  • Proven, relevant experience in two or more of the following: TOM design, organisational design, change management, engagement & communications, behavioural change, project management

  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end change programmes, and managing large teams

  • A proven track record of proactively managing client stakeholders, including providing constructive challenge, influencing decisions, providing robust advice, delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues, up to C suite-1 level

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A primary degree and any post graduate degrees and professional qualifications are desirable but not critical e.g. CIPD

  • Experience of working on projects within a professional services firm, global consultancy firm and/or large private and/or public sector organisations
