As a Manager within our UK & Ireland (non Financial Services) practice, you manage the day-to-day delivery of client projects, developing teams of between 2-5 consultants. You will have the opportunity to lead client projects, generating insight through analytics (analysis, modelling), creative aspects (developing stories and supporting slides) and research elements (data gathering, interviews). At the Manager level, you will begin taking responsibility for developing the recommendations that will ultimately be implemented by our clients, whilst also learning how to contribute to and grow EY’s business. You will also get the chance to experience adjacent areas of work enabled by EY’s broad capability – such as innovation strategy, new ventures, technology, customer, and program management.
As a Manager in the EY Strategy team, you will be a reliable leader driving all aspects of client project delivery. You will have the opportunity to use your experience, creativity and analytical skills to help find solutions to our clients’ problems. You will bring the best of EY to our clients by showing professionalism, responsiveness, teaming effectively with your colleagues, building internal and external networks, and ensuring quality in all your work. Beyond client projects, you will also have the chance to contribute to new Business Development across sectors. We are actively developing and growing our Strategy practice and you will be encouraged to join one of our many communities helping build our offers, thought leadership, training and learning, and people strategy.
Great leadership, team-working and collaboration skills
Senior client engagement experience
Have a thorough grasp of end to end value chain dynamics and rends
A good practitioner in full bodied research
Ability and willingness to solve challenging and open-ended client problems
Robust analytical and quantitative analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel
Corporate finance expertise with solid working knowledge of P&L
Passion in either a sector (e.g. automotive) or situation (e.g. portfolio evolution / pivot, footprint migration, rapid cost out) and has a distinguished subject matter spike
Ability to shine in complex stakeholder environments
Evidence of excellent academic, professional or extracurricular achievements
