EY is seeking to continue growth within our Pensions Advisory team, and are looking for individuals with institutional investment knowledge, strong numerical and communication skills who can contribute to our growth plans and who wish to be part of a successful business with a strong, established brand.
We offer our clients expert led advice wherever pension risk touches their business and our team works within a multi-disciplinary environment across a number of specialist areas. Within Investment Governance, this includes assessment of institutional investor governance, fiduciary management selection and oversight, operational due diligence, advising corporates on investment strategy and pension scheme risk management. In addition, there is extensive opportunities to work on projects for non-pension fund clients (typically asset managers and insurers) on a wide range of subjects.
The role will involve supporting the delivery of numerical and written advice to clients, and preparation of new business materials. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of investment markets, investment governance including operational models. The role requires innovative thinking to solve different investment challenges, ability to network effectively internally and externally, and being able to communicate solutions to clients clearly and concisely.
You must possess a strong investment background and be versatile and flexible, enthusiastic, positive and committed. You must be able to manage your time effectively and be a good communicator.
Investment experience, preferably in a multi-asset / multi-manager background
Understanding the structure and actuarial valuation principles for pension funds
Understanding of the investment market and regulatory pressures facing the industry
Understanding of different investment strategies, and ability to ask better questions of fiduciary managers on a range of investment subjects
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a proven record in developing client and reporting materials
Strong project management skills including the ability to handle multiple client projects which runconcurrently
Strong client management and communication skills
Experience in carrying out asset liability modelling exercises or working with other modelling systems would be an advantage
