UK&I Markets is at the heart of EY’s ambitious growth strategy. The team is responsible for working with our clients and EY colleagues to maintain and improve EY’s brand, develop new and innovative ways of addressing and connecting with client issues as well as to identify and coach new revenue opportunities.

The Markets group comprises our Business Development (BD), Market Operations and Brand, Marketing and Communication (BMC) teams. All groups are led by our UK&I Markets Partner.

As part of the Markets team, the Enablement Operations Project Manager will be responsible for several key areas of operational excellence, working with our markets function. The Enablement Operations Project Manager will report into the Head of Market Operations and will be aligned to the Enablement Operations Leader, working closely with the broader markets team.

The opportunity

Providing project management, coordination and support across a number of key focus areas for Market Operations. Key areas of focus are:

  • Project management and coordination for Mercury deployment/implementation across Markets (Mercury is the internal project name given to the implementation of a new SAP system).

  • Account operations management across Market Segments.

  • Project management and coordination for key focus areas across Markets, supporting and working with the Enablement Operations Leader.

Please note that this opportunity is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). We are open to the successful candidate being based in our London or Birmingham office, although there will be a need to travel to London when required for meetings, etc.

Your key responsibilities

Mercury Project management and coordination

  • Project management for Mercury deployment and implementation across Markets, providing support for our Mercury Markets Change Lead.

  • Representing Markets across several Mercury work streams as Workstream Lead; Risks & Controls, Data Readiness, Sales & Pipeline, Reporting and Training.

  • Regional Reporting Finance (RRF) Lead responsibility for Markets once Mercury is go-live for UK&I. Logging of enhancements on behalf of users with the CoE (Centre of Excellence) team and working with the CoE team to troubleshoot any reporting issues

  • Attending Mercury meetings with project team members and working collaboratively with the core team and other workstream leads to ensure successful deployment across Markets and wider UK&I.

UK&I Account operations management

  • Day to day point of contact for queries from stakeholder group on account operations.

  • Working closely with our Market Segment Manager, Account Manager and Account Coordinator community ensuring correct MS and Sector assignment of our accounts in UKI.

  • Providing expertise on the Firm’s account systems, structure and hierarchies, financial performance, systems and reporting.

  • Central point of contact for Accounts Record Database (ARD) and Master Data Management (MDM) systems. Working to resolve issues relating to account movements/ownership.

  • Management and ownership of sub account processes.

  • Responsibility for Account Integrity Reporting (AIR) for UK&I supporting our GDS (Global Delivery Services) colleagues in process management and reporting.

  • Unassigned process - Mange this process for UK&I with support from offshore team, continuing to develop and automate processes and navigating system issues to seek resolutions.

  • Supporting and knowledge building of our GDS off-shore team to support account operations processes.

Project management and coordination for key focus areas across Markets, supporting and working with the Enablement Operations Leader to roll-out projects and big ticket items across the Markets function.

  • Supporting the Enablement Operations Leader in:

  • Working closely with the broader Market Operations team to ensure alignment across the Markets Group

  • Revenue planning support

  • New business development (NBD) processes

  • Reporting across Markets

  • Off-shore GDS support

  • Innovation and technology

  • Alignment to the wider Markets function (BD and BMC)

  • Day to day team operations and management

  • HR/people agenda activities

  • Resource management

  • Implementation and project coordination of new initiatives and focus projects across wider Markets, CBS and UK&I initiatives as needed

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrable experience in an operational management role.

  • Experienced in working autonomously and as part of a busy team, delivering to deadlines.

  • Skilled at juggling multiple priorities with multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience in senior stakeholder management.

  • Project management skills; being able to work within timeframes to deliver outputs.

  • Competent at analysing and working with financial data,ability to review financials and produce management information.

  • Intermediate – advanced Excel skills.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A can do attitude; being able to deal with a number of projects simultaneously whilst in addition, reacting to inbound work.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • A good network across the Firm.

  • Experience in using the Firm’s systems, particularly InterAction and My Business.

  • Change management experience – experience in defining processes and improving ways of working ensuring automated and consistent reporting.

  • Experience in seeking ways to automate processes and identify efficiencies.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Understanding of the Firm’s Market Segment and account structure.

  • Experience in working with and navigating the Firm’s account operations systems, ARD and MDM to source financial data.

  • Experience of working with and managing off-shore GDS teams and working collaboratively to ensure team success.
