We’re hiring within our UK&I Business Development (BD) Pursuits team, and are looking for an experienced Pursuit Leader to focus on winning business in our Tax Service Line (SL).
Your key areas of focus will be developing and deploying the tax market strategy, using
your coaching skills and best practice to:
Win multi-annuity tax contracts – build a clear understanding of the client issues and needs of the key decision makers’, develop bespoke value propositions and commercial models
Drive go to market campaigns - help clients respond to legislative and regulatory change as well as address their challenges though innovative services and solutions
Upskill our team – support our tax team to build trusted relationships and increase sales through bespoke training and enablement
Your key responsibilities
Take a lead role in the qualification of tax pursuits and opportunities and make appropriate recommendations
Lead all aspects of the Tax pursuit, leveraging pursuit excellence, pursuit methodologies and best practice from across EY, working closely with the engagement team, Communication and Pursuit Strategist (CaPS) (Pursuit Project Manager) and Graphic Designer
Quickly build credibility and trust with the Lead Partner and engagement teams, able to provide active coaching and constructive challenge and enhance teaming
Your role is to always put yourself in the clients’ shoes, to ensure the firm is focused on their specific issues and needs
Leading go to market campaigns:
Work closely with the TaxMarkets' Leaderand business development stakeholders to develop effective go to market strategies for new products, offerings or services
Launch go to market campaigns to help grow existing clients as well as attract new ones
Collaborate with Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) to ensure the voice of Tax is represented in internal and external communications
Manage and analyse reporting for campaign process and pipeline management
Skills and attributes for success
A strong track record in managing pursuits and business development activities, including influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic wins
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Strong coaching and mentoring skills proven at executive level
Delivering or participating in training to up-skill the client and/or BD teams in pursuit best practice using various tools and methodologies
To qualify for the role you must have
Leadership of large teams in complex, cross border, high value sales
Experience working within a Pursuit or wider BD team
Ideally, you’ll also have
A passion for continuous improvement
Knowledge of the Tax market (not essential)
Background within professional services or a complex, global matrix environment
