We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join EY’s Service Management team as a Senior Consultant.This role is within the Service Management work-stream which forms part of the EMEIA Tax Centre Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) team.

The opportunity

Service management professionals lead multi-country, multi-service GCR contracts – managing the contracting and transition processes, and providing status reporting, client relationship management and issue resolution throughout the life of these large global contracts. They are also responsible for developing this offering within EY and leading pursuits and other market activity in this space. The team is based across several locations primarily in UK, Belgium and Poland, and works closely with our shared services team in Bangalore, India and with counterpart GCR centres in the Americas and Asia-Pacific. We act as a single point of contact to and from the client and the global EY network for all compliance and reporting needs including statutory financial reporting, direct and indirect tax compliance, payroll and company secretarial services. Our work consists of contract management, centralised tax and accounting services, deadline tracking, issue resolution, client relationship handling and assisting with Global Compliance sales and proposals, including supporting the pricing of multi-jurisdiction compliance work.

Your keyresponsibilities

  • Coordinating and in some cases leading regular review meetings withclients including KPI and SLA performance; supporting Managers and above inidentifying areas for growth; following up on feedback regarding servicedelivery; joint issue resolution and liaising with other service lines in EY

  • Initiating contract and fee negotiations including: managing out ofscope fees; scope changes; fee reviews and volume and inflationary adjustments

  • Service Delivery – ensuring our online tracking system is fully utilisedand maintained so that the site is set up in accordance with the agreedtimetable. This will include regular reviews of the site with coordinators;managing team members in the shared service centre in India; reporting onprogress direct to client or via another contract manager; overseeingroll-forward plan and reporting on progress; updating client of developments onenhancements.

  • Issue Resolution - overseeing issue logs on our online tracking site toensure resolution within agreed timescales including managing the resolution ofescalated issues and reporting on progress (via action plans andupdates);sharing knowledge of issue resolution with other GCR team members andcontract managers and escalating issues appropriately to contract managers.

  • Managing engagement finances including: budgeting; invoicing; timebooked to code; overseeing expenses;

  • Ongoing development of GCR team methodology and policy including: sharingsuccessful tools with other GCR team members; project managing GCR developmentprojects, looking at new tools and procedures and developing the GCR globalnetwork through local offices and supporting other contract managers with issueresolution.

  • Project management skills – ability to planand prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor progress and budget

  • Ability to build strong clientrelationships

  • Excellent communicator in range of situations both written and oral

  • Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review andknow when to refer upwards

  • Clientfocused and commercially aware

  • Relationshipmanagement skills with ability to manage client expectations

  • Abilityto solve problems creatively and pragmatically

  • Coordination and Prioritisation –self-starter who is able to manage their own workload, ability to workunder pressure and to keep things moving and to juggle multiple tasks.

  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to workwith large amounts of data

  • Ability to work across borders with a widenetwork of people – facility in a foreign language would be helpful butnot essential

To qualify for the roleyou must

  • Project management experience gainedwithin professional services, financial services or large corporate environment.

  • Hands-on client delivery experience ona global scale.

This role does not specifically require tax or accounting qualifications or experience - the compliance work is performed by our "in-country" teams across the globe - but previous experience in these areas would be beneficial: project management, Excel, communication and coordination skills are all required for the position.
