Senior Full-Stack Developer

The opportunity

Through the use of technology, it is EY’s aspiration to revolutionise the way we service our clients. The Taxhive are responsible for the innovation and development of amazing tax technology products. We follow agile principles to create human-centric transformational tax technology. By creating rapid prototypes, we are able test ideas and work with our nearshore teams to scale the very best ideas.

We are looking for passionate developers looking to build and release engaging, innovative applications to market quickly.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop ideas with business analysts to find a pragmatic approach to the rapid delivery of prototypes

  • Be responsible for the technical implementation of the features for your product ensuring that we create solutions that are resilient, scalable and manageable

  • Continuously research, evaluate and present new technology services and solutions that fit the business needs

  • Collaborate with the product development teams (designers, business analysts, product owners, developers and quality assurance) to deliver amazing experiences for our customers

  • Coach and encourage colleagues through constant learning to improve their skills

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies including SCRUM, TDD and BDD

  • Highly proficient in web based OOP (e.g. Java / JavaScript / C#)

  • Knowledge of frameworks for designing front-end web applications (e.g. Angular / REACT)

  • Experience deploying web applications on large cloud-based services provider (e.g. Azure / AWS)

  • Experience working with web services / APIs (e.g. SOAP / REST)

  • Understanding of database technologies (e.g. SQL / NoSQL / MongoDB)

  • Working knowledge of server-side frameworks (e.g. J2EE / Node.js / ASP.NET MVC)

  • Experience building responsive UIs on the web that are robust, scalable and maintainable

  • Experience with source code management, continuous integration and automated deployment

What we look for

As a senior full-stack developer you should have strong commercial development experience, we have a preferred technology stack, however, we are not prescriptive about the technologies you have experience using, as long you as you are eager to use the best available technology for the project and open to working with new tools and approaches.
