The Opportunity:

This is a full time role, which would be primarily London based, though some travel may be required to the other hubs in Manchester and Glasgow.

You will be responsible for producing and then implementing strategies for each of our target audiences. This will include running various engagement campaigns, online communications activity and face-to-face events.

To be successful in the role you will be able work independently and proactively in a time-pressured and fast paced office. You will be keen to learn new skills and have the ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment. The successful candidate will be a confident individual who demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is highly organised, efficient and pays close attention to detail. Ideally you will also have experience of having responsibility for running an organisation’s stakeholder communication activity.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with colleagues across the charity and EY to deliver the Foundation’s stakeholder strategy.

  • Managing and delivering a suite of written communications activity such as newsletters and direct mail follow-up to ensure continued engagement with the Foundation’s key stakeholder groups.

  • Designing and delivering a series of stakeholder events and domestic fundraising events.

  • Analyse the various stakeholder engagement programmes we deliver at present, making recommendations and changes when necessary.

  • Producing content and providing creative direction for a range of stakeholder resources and communications.

  • Maintaining and analysing the stakeholder database, identifying key audiences for targets and developing and implementing a set of stakeholder journeys.

  • Implementing other initiatives with team members across the Foundation and its three hubs.

  • Planning and delivery of stakeholder engagement campaigns and events, across our three operating hubs in the UK.

  • Working collaboratively and proactively with the wider Supporter Development and Income team to identify and deliver domestic fundraising activity that aligns with the stakeholder engagement strategy.

  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting on stakeholder engagements activities to understand and improve all types of EY Foundation ‘stakeholder journeys’.

  • Exploring new innovation channels by which to maximise stakeholder experiences.

  • Building good relationships with key stakeholders across a range of business and third sector organisations.

  • Evaluate the impactand success of different stakeholder engagement initiatives.

  • Collect and analyse data and feedback from a broad range of supporters,qualitatively and quantitatively,to continually improve the engagement strategy.

Systems Management:

  • ‘GEMA’ communications system for production of newsletters, invites and other communications

  • SharePoint intranet platform.

  • SharePoint interim CRM system

Knowledge, Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • Passionate about changing the working lives and prospects of disadvantaged young people in the UK for the better in line with the EY Foundation’s mission.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise of working with different stakeholder groups, internal and external.

  • Ability to foster positive and productive relationships with a range of people and stakeholders.

  • A team player with a confident manner and a professional, flexible, positive, calm and resilient approach

  • Close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times

  • Highly organised individual

  • Demonstrable ability to support a number of different projects at the same time and thrives in a fast paced environment with competing priorities

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – written and oral

  • Social and approachable nature and a skilled ambassador for the EY Foundation

  • Competent level of IT literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum)

Other Requirements:

  • Act as an ambassador for the EY Foundation at all times, attending key events and receptions as required, some of which may be outside of normal office hours and/or locations

  • Adhere to the EY Foundation’s Child Protection, Independence and Data Protection policy at all times

  • Fluent English speaker required

The Stakeholder Lead will ensure all activity, including communications and events, is delivered efficiently and effectively with clear metrics to demonstrate impact. There will be a focus on innovation and using new communication techniques to build better relationship with our stakeholders. The role will also take responsibility for the project management of specific communication/events.
