The opportunity

As a member of the Analyst Relations team, you’ll oversee, develop and execute a range of programs, and help manage some of the top relationships in the industry analyst community. Reporting to the Global Analyst Relations Lead, this position will accelerate and evolve the existing AR program, helping the company to:

  • Develop more pro-active relationships with our growing community of analysts

  • Provide management with strategic advice on analyst interactions that support the overall business objectives

  • Partner with the sales enablement organization, assist in driving deals with analyst support

  • Collaborate with brand, marketing and communications to deliver content and programs to drive awareness and consideration

  • Broaden visibility of the company, its strategy and core services.

The position requires a commitment to innovation, excellent understanding of the professional services industry, and established relationships with industry analysts. Clear, concise and consistent communication skills are a must. You must be comfortable with current market trends, competitive positioning and executive level interaction.

Your key responsibilities

Analyst Relations helps to build a better working world by connecting EY thought leaders to global industry analysts who influence and inform the technology and professional services market landscape. By making these connections and building these relationships, we bring analysts to EY leaders and vice versa, creating a better understanding of EY externally out in the market, and better awareness internally of the importance of proactive Analyst Relations management. The result is more clarity for clients about what differentiates EY and an increased confidence in how EY can help transform their business.

  • In this position, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and executing personalized analyst engagement plans that promote the breadth and depth of EY’s solutions, while delivering an in-depth understanding of specific products and/or services.

  • Strategic Planning: Devise strategic plans that reinforce the business objectives to drive impactful engagement with the analyst community

  • Briefings / inquiries: Proactively drive briefings / inquiries, advise senior leadership on best practice and ensure analysts are fully briefed on company’s strategy and vision.

  • Strategy sessions: Plan and conduct strategic advisory sessions with analysts and leadership resulting in a deeper understanding by the analyst community of EY’s capabilities. Identify where knowledge gaps exist, analyst feedback/direction is sought after, or market direction is needed. Use output from these sessions to inform future engagement strategies.

  • Events: Leading global analyst summits and analyst webcasts, further developing relationships with the analyst community and providing them with a wholistic view of EY’s offerings.

  • Additional responsibilities incl driving coverage across the following areas/competencies/sectors:

  • Americas

  • Energy sector

  • Adobe alliance

  • Business Consulting, in particular Customer Experience, Digital, Innovation

  • Develop an engagement plan and calendar designed to proactively drive and broaden relationships with relevant analysts to ensure that EY is well-positioned and top-of-mind with analysts who influence the opinions of the market.

  • Consistently have EY recognized as a key player in its chosen markets by assigned influencers

Skills and attributes for success

  • The ability to work under tight deadlines, be able to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and communicate priorities to stakeholders

  • The ability to build assigned influencer/analyst profiles

  • The ability to identify business opportunities as a direct result of assigned analyst/influencer activities

  • Proactively solicit and develop EY firm/service profiles with a positive and differentiated view of our competencies

  • Demonstrate ability to link and communicate effectively

  • Identify significant locally based influencers in all major service areas, sectors, and regions

  • Help build credible evidence of the continued success of the analyst program globally

To qualify for the role you must have

  • The ability to work independently, whilst being a great team player

  • Experience working in a matrixed, international environment

  • An understanding of the market: ability to be a services and or technology expert, articulating company messages with external audiences, capable of editing papers according to company messaging, demonstrating excellent judgment for company's best interest, strong situational analysis, and ability to negotiate.

  • Good relationships with leading analysts; experience in successfully completing analyst ratings reports

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Spokesperson training and event management experience

  • Experience managing high-profile global analyst events

  • Experience working with senior executives and managing individuals’ media profiles

What we look for

  • We’re looking for a tenacious, energized, and self-motivated team player with a BA/BS in Communications/Marketing, Technology or Business and ideally 15+ years of experience in Analyst Relations in the technology or professional services industry. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent communication, writing, editing, and project management skills as well as the ability to respond quickly & manage simultaneous priorities.
