The opportunity

As a Senior Manager in Solution Architecture, you will be at the heart of our technology capability, driving the delivery of complex solutions that align with our strategic business objectives. You will manage budgets, oversee project delivery, and ensure performance outcomes while building and maintaining valuable client and commercial relationships.

Your key responsibilities In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of technical solutions, ensuring quality and managing operational risks.

  • Engage actively in delivery leadership, project management, and client interactions across all project phases.

  • Travel frequently to meet client needs and project requirements.

  • Solve complex problems using proven methods and evaluative criteria.

  • Influence policy and procedural changes with potential broad business impact.

  • Provide direction and feedback to teams, contributing to performance evaluations and the hiring process.

  • Accountable for the solution architecture of all products within a portfolio and drives consistency and thought leadership

  • Ensuring the direction and implementation of a solution is true to its design, and if a change is required, it is managed appropriately

  • Ensuring that the solution design specifies technologies & tools that have been approved for use by P&P, Nexus, Risk Management & Independence

  • Promoting growth, innovation, and long-term profitability concepts

  • Developing standards that typically include best practices observed from other technology rollouts and helping develop solutions faster through repeatable actions or reusable components in new designs

  • Identifying programs to deliver Architectural leverage and scale through reusable Nexus platform assets

  • Exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for a Master’s degree

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data architecture.

  • Strong business skills including relationship management, commercial awareness, and communication.

  • Critical thinking and the ability to drive outcomes.

  • Emotional agility, leading teams, and managing change.

  • Strong capabilities in Data Architecture Design and Modelling, and familiarity with Design Methodologies & Tools

  • Knowledge of Emerging Technologies, IT Standards and Governance, and Platform Architecture

  • Expertise in Solution Architecture Design and Technical Feasibility Analysis

  • Ability to define, analyze, and map Technology Business Requirements, along with Technology Cost-Benefit Analysis

  • Adaptability and Learning Agility, with experience in Managing Change and Negotiation and Influencing

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,000 to $342,600. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,000 to $389,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
