Consulting - Data & Analytics - Senior Consultant
Our Data and Analytics (DnA) team helps apply cutting edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to our clients. As part of that, you’ll sit side-by-side with clients and diverse teams from EY to create a well-rounded approach to advising and solving challenging problems (some that not been solved before). Candidates electing to join our National Consulting team will focus on clients across numerous industry sectors. These industries range from automotive and transportation, consumer products and retail, health, to media and entertainment - to name a few. Candidates electing to join the Financial Services Organization (FSO) will focus exclusively in financial services and will have opportunities to serve leading investment banks, retail and commercial banks, insurers and investment managers.
Within both our Financial Services Organization (FSO) and National businesses, DnA has been on our key areas of investment and an engine for our overall growth and supports every aspect of our client’s businesses. DnA teams assist clients to effectively and efficiently leverage technology-enabled capabilities to analyze their business and operationalize their strategic goals. Teams work collaboratively with our clients to manage engagements and lead teams of data analyst resources in all aspects of design and delivery of information solutions. Our National DnA competencies are structured into End-to-End Data, Quantitative Strategies and Solutions, Cross Domain Analytics, Data & Analytics Strategy and Process AI & Automation. Our FSO competencies are structured into four key pillars: Analytics & Insight, Data Product Management, Data Architecture & Engineering, and Data Governance & Control.

Pursuing an MBA/Masters and approximately 3-7 years of relevant prior work experience
Data science and/or data engineering programming experience preferably in R, Python, or SAS
Strong skills in Mathematics (Statistics, Probability Theory) with hands-on development skills (Machine Learning/Deep Learning)
Big data skills such as Hadoop, Spark, Neo4j, or noSQL
Experience using business intelligence tools – ETL, SQL, data wrangling
Experience with data and systems architecture (APIs, messaging, etc)
Experience with building UIs to drive decisions – Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire
Experience with cloud platforms, solution architecture and data platform design patterns (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
Experience with master data management, data governance, and data quality
Knowledge of ERPs, Billing Systems, and CRMs
Understanding of modern data ingestion techniques (e.g ELT, Near-Real-Time ingestion)
Able to articulate scalable data architecture concepts, document reference architectures, and speak to end-to-end solutions (both cloud and on-prem hosted)
Interest in data storytelling and how people make decisions with data
Ability to connect “big-picture” industry and market trends to client’s business problem
A “can-do” attitude to learn new tools, technologies and business processes on the job to solve complex problems
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
High energy and desire to build strong relationships with clients and teams
Proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read, and communicate effectively both written and verbally in a professional environment
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

A competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The salary range for this job, in the US, is $53,000.00 - $130,000.00. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid-time-off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial and emotional well-being.
