EY’s successful Transaction Tax Practice is an integrated & collaborative team of tax professionals advising the best clients in the Australian market. We are currently looking to add to our team in Melbourne with a Senior Manager that can deliver value to our growing book of clients and people.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Transaction Tax practice in Melbourne. This is a unique opportunity to join one of our fastest growing teams, working in an advisory capacity. You will have the opportunity to work on some significant and complex projects for our market-leading clients. As part of this hugely successful team, you will also have opportunities to be involved in a wide range of Transaction Tax work.
Your key responsibilities
Drawing on your skills and experience in Transaction Tax, you will provide technical advice on how our clients can manage their Transaction Tax risks and obligations and deal effectively with the changing tax and regulatory environment. This will include advice and diligence on deals/transactions, re-organisations and ongoing tax obligations.

Ability to effectively manage agrowing book of property and transaction clients.
To qualify for the role you must have
Relevant Australian tax experience, ideally gainedin a chartered or law firm environment
Be well informed in relation to law and regulatorychanges, including the MIT/AMIT regimes, tax matters in a “stapled”environment, debt/equity issues and the ongoing changes to the taxation oftrusts/funds.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A passion for transaction tax mattersand the ability to work in a growing and dynamic tax team.
