EY’s Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) helps clients with improving business performance through a focus on providing supply chain advisory services that achieve measurable benefits in operational effectiveness and strategic decision making.

As a SC&O Manager, an important part of your role will be actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships. With guidance from partners and senior managers, you'll oversee SC&O projects as well as leverage an extensive relationship network to develop and close business opportunities.

Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives.

Your role in leading teams or parts of teams on engagements will depend on the size of engagement and will be under the responsibility of higher levels. They will look to you to anticipate and identify risks and escalates issues as appropriate.

As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

Client responsibilities

  • Manageand take a leadership role in EY’s SC&O client engagements

  • Identifyand lead business development opportunities

  • Createlong term, trusted advisor relationships with senior client management

  • Assistin managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing,tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders

  • Overseeand take active part in creating project documentation and creatingrelevant reports

  • Buildstrong internal relationships within the Advisory practice and acrossother service lines

People Managementresponsibilities

  • Developpeople through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff

  • Conductperformance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff

  • Contributeto people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and trainingSC&O professionals

  • Maintainan educational program to continually develop personal skills

  • Understandand follow workplace policies and procedures

Technical skills requirements

The successful candidate will have direct and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Developingand/or implementing supply chain strategic planning roadmaps for largeinternational organizations

  • Deployingmanufacturing operational excellence methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)and managing projects under these methodologies

  • Developingand/or implementing leading business processes

  • Improvinglogistics, inventory management, transport, warehousing, distribution andnetworks for large international organizations

  • Drivingtechnology-enabled supply chain transformation -Familiaritywith leading supply chain technologies is an asset


Successful candidates will generally be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Outstandingacademic record including a bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years ofrelated work experience

  • Apost-graduate degree and/or a professional designation (e.g. SCMP,CPSM) is an asset

  • Fullbilingualism in both, French and English languages is required

  • Awillingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs; travel isestimated at 60-80%

  • Demonstratedexperience with driving change and cost savings at leading practicesorganizations

  • Experiencein Manufacturing is an asset

  • Abilityto work collaboratively in a team environment (and know when to lead andwhen to follow)

  • Experiencemanaging staff on multiple projects and providing direction to teammembers

  • Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellentcommunications skills including oral, written, and presentation

  • Ahigh level of motivation and a self-starting attitude

  • Anability to think outside of the box, and thrive on new challenges
