Working within a team, the Senior, Tax will make technical contributions to tax client engagements and internal projects. The selected candidates' main responsibilities will include:
Participate in business tax engagements for local and international clients;
Participate in researching tax issues and prepare written communications;
Help clients with responses to tax authorities, assist clients in maximizing tax credit claims and improving their tax function;
Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties;
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel;
Build strong internal relationships within the tax team and across other service lines;
Perform tax law research, draft reports and answers to the clients' issues with guidance of more senior colleagues;
Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress achieved.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Candidates interested in this position should satisfy the following requisites:
Have a Masters in Accountancy degree, ACCA or other equivalent Accounting qualification;
Have or be in process of obtaining a qualification in Taxation;
Have at least 2 to 3 years' previous working experience within a similar environment;
Possess good written, IT and verbal communication skills;
Have sound knowledge of the Maltese fiscal legislation;
Be willing and able to travel;
Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis;
Show integrity within our professional environment.
