As a DevOps engineer you will help structure projects for success by setting up CI/CD/CT pipelines and working with Ops to provision environments and make sure deployed applications are operable. Essential Functions of the Job:
Engage with software development teams
Represent best practices for development, deployment, and security
Build and extend existing CI/CD pipelines
Integrate automated testing
Maintain deployment packages
Work with a variety of tools employing scripting
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
- Create code/scripts that align with overall DevSecOps strategic direction
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Hands on experience with crafting pipelines for applications to
.NET, Java, NodeJS build tools and package managers
C# or Java development experience ideal
Skilled scripter in one or more of these shells:
VS Command Line
Ideal experience with containers
Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
Ability to provision environments using desired-state-configuration tools
Cloud provider tools: Google, AWS, & Azure
Understanding of Agile Processes and Principles
A passion for all things DevOps
- The DevSecOps role can operate with minimal supervision but will rely on the Senior DevSecOps engineer to answer questions and provide guidance.
- This role will require occasional overnight travel, and will also need to conform to regular demands of Tax, including pre-busy season deployments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or similar subject, or equivalent experience.
3 to 4 years of experience.
2 years of relevant work experience in DevOps
Ability to work in a mixed environment (85% windows, 15% Linux)
