The opportunity

EY recently joined MxD as a Tier 1 member. We are making a significant capital investment in our physical presence at MxD and are in the process of designing and developing experience modules which will be featured at MxD. This role will enable EY to support Operations Hub design, development and client workshop activities.

Your key responsibilities

Responsible for helping to lead the buildout and management of supply chain and manufacturing solution design and development in support of the EY Digital Operations Hub at MxD in Chicago. Expected to work with client serving personnel to analyze, evaluate, design, and develop solutions which are demonstrated to manufacturing clients. Expected to lead design and delivery of client events at MxD including presentation of solutions.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrated in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge and experience assisting large organizations with their manufacturing improvement efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and develop new offerings leveraging new and existing technologies which solve typical client manufacturing business problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct teams of consultants to design and deliver solutions

  • Ability to work closely with technology teams throughout the solution build lifecycle including requirements gathering, agile sprint builds, testing, and deployment.

  • Experience working with a variety of technology ecosystem partners including but not limited to PTC, GE Digital, Microsoft, Dell, and SAP to design, develop, and demonstrate experience module solutions.

  • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

  • Provide input into go-to-market messaging and value proposition for technology solutions in the overall solution portfolio.

  • Provide input into internal activation messaging and solution training materials.

  • Ability to promote alignment and collaboration with subject matter resources across service lines.

  • Provide thought leadership related to market and technology trends as input to manufacturing solution development.

  • Manage process for scheduling, planning, and executing single client and multi-client events.

  • Consulting experience.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering or other technical discipline

  • 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain operations improvement

  • Expertise in manufacturing, manufacturing systems, lean, supply chain, planning, network design, logistics, and analytics

  • Expertise in designing, demonstrating, and implementing augmented reality and internet-of-things based solutions ideal

  • Experience selling and implementing supply chain and manufacturing solutions for clients

  • Availability to travel outside your assigned office location 50% of the time if not based in Chicago. Ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago, IL area. Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

  • A valid passport is required

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $146,000 to $333,500. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $175,200 to $379,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
