The o pportunity
The role of a Digital Grid Manager will be to provide consulting services to Power & Utilities clients implementing Digital Grid Programs, capabilities and systems (AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS) resulting in increased value and efficiency.
Your key responsibilities
Provide functional and/or technical experienceand insights
Provide strategic and tactical insights, connectedness and responsiveness to all clients to help anticipate their needs
Lead/manage workstream planning and delivery
Facilitate client meetings and workshops
Identify and implement service delivery improvements to progress the quality of the service provided and/or the process efficiency
Identify and resolve/escalate issues and risks that affect scope, quality, schedule and resources
Develop and deliver status updates and communications
Manage resource demand, staffing and allocation
Define team member roles and expectations
Lead/manage quality assurance for team’s work products and service delivery to consistently deliver high quality
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance client service delivery
Stay current with the latest trends in the industry to be a trusted advisor/subject-matter resource for our clients’ businesses
Participate in new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions
Develop long-term relationships with networks both internally and externally
Enhance the EY brand through strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients
Mentor, coach and counsel team members and help EY to build an inclusive culture and develop high-performing teams
Support the EY inclusiveness culture
Flexibility and willingness to manage significant travel depending on time of year. Must havea valid driver’s license
Skills and attributes for success
You’ll need strong written and verbal communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues at all levels.

By drawing on your knowledge and experience, you’ll provide innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You’ll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives.

Your role in leading teams or parts of teams on engagements will depend on the size of the engagement and will be under the responsibility of higher levels. They will look to you to anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
As an influential member of the team, youll help create a positive learning culture, and you’ll coach and counsel junior team members and help them develop.
* To qualify for the* role you must have
Proven business or technical work experience in one or more of the following digital grid focus areas: AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS, electric vehicles
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of fiveyears of related work experience or a graduate degree and fouryears of related work experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience delivering consulting services to Power & Utilities clients
Experience leading teams, experience with business development
