National Tax- Transfer Pricing- Data Analytics and Reporting Manager
EY’s clients are increasingly requesting advice on and support for operational transfer pricing, also known within EY as intercompany effectiveness (“ICE”). EY’s ICE service offering focuses on the effective and efficient execution of intercompany pricing across the intercompany life cycle (price setting, transacting, monitoring / adjusting, and documenting). The ICE service offering focuses on all elements of an operating model for transfer pricing (e.g., processes, controls, organizational design, data, and technology).
To satisfy the increasing demand for these services, EY is seeking to hire a role within our transfer pricing team to focus on operational transfer pricing / ICE services. The Manager role involves leading a Global team of EY transfer pricing professionals that cross-team with clients’ Operations, Finance, Tax, and Business Leadership to operationalize clients’ intercompany transactions efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with regulatory and local tax laws.
While performing these operational transfer pricing functions for clients, you will leverage scalable methods to assess the root cause of issues, design and implement solutions that improve the financial information used for other business processes such as statutory reporting, tax provision, and compliance. In the short and medium-term, the expectation is this Manager role will focus on a single EY client, with the possibility of service to additional clients long-term.
Your Key Responsibilities
The Manager role will lead a dynamic, Global EY team with a unique group of skills to deliver on operational transfer pricing for specific clients. The responsibilities that the Manager will perform, include: managing and mentoring a high-performing, Global team of 5+ EY transfer pricing professionals to perform day-to-day operational transfer pricing responsibilities for specific clients. Supporting client tax teams by being a point of contact for transfer pricing / intercompany related questions and action items from the business. Delivering ad hoc reporting and projects that support Tax, Accounting, Finance, and business needs. Driving improved transfer pricing communication - distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to client leadership teams, Support client technology systems and processes used to facilitate the intercompany life cycle. Supporting the design of future state intercompany and transfer pricing processes. Executing internal controls for transfer pricing processes. Documenting, reviewing, and delivering operational transfer pricing / intercompany training for clients.
Skills and attributes for Success
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategic initiatives
Demonstrate executive presence and business partnership with all levels of client management
Strong project management skills including an ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly within a rapidly changing environment
Possess a working knowledge of GAAP and core accounting concepts to successfully partner with Tax, Accounting, and Finance on routine processes and ad-hoc projects
Effective verbal and written communication abilities to all levels of client management
Ability to lead, build, develop, and motivate a Global team
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, management or another relevant discipline
5+ years of FP&A, business finance, or accounting experience
Outstanding quantitative and analytical capabilities with Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Proven track record on proactive business partnership
Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
Strong English language fluency (written and oral)
