The TFO practice will enable you to help clients reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risk and drive process improvement within their tax and finance functions. EY is currently seeking high-potential Managers to deliver exceptional client service and enable the continued growth of our TFO practice. The opportunity specifically is to assist our clients and internal teams in the design, execution and project management of transition plans for these transformational engagements. Our market-leading approach combines extensive functional outsourcing experience with local tax and accounting experience. We use a standard methodology providing clients with an integrated service that unlocks the full potential of the tax function across the entire tax life cycle.
Your role as a Manager will focus on establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels while working to consistently deliver exceptional client service. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the various processes involved with integrated transition planning and execution, as well as the management of the team reporting to you. You will also communicate status and progress of the day-to-day operations of the transition plan on a regular basis with those whom you report to, as well as the client. You will monitor progress, manage risk, maximize operational efficiencies and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Additionally, you will aid in the effort to improve and standardize our internal processes and go-to-market activities.
Skills and attributes for success:
Work with client and internal EY TFO team to develop the transition scope of services related to moving the function from the client environment to EY. This includes but is not limited to knowledge transfer, facility, technology and tool implementation, identification of data requirements, process changes and day 1 readiness criteria
Coordinate with the subservice line transition leads in all relevant subservice lines to build out a detailed work plan (ITS, BTC, Global Direct, Indirect, etc.)
Work with program management office (PMO), talent team and facility teams to determine relevant staffing and facility workspace requirements
Work with PMO and TFO team to develop a detailed budget and timeline for all transition activities and closely monitor both throughout the transition process
Facilitate the early and effective resolution of escalated issues
Provide proactive risk mitigation, problem prevention and resolution, and open and active communications between the client and EY TFO team
Facilitate the client’s and EY’s ability to fulfill their respective commitments and obligations under the statement of work (SOW)
Consistently communicate between key players on the client and EY team to ensure smooth transition and completeness of agreed-to TFO services
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferably with an emphasis in accounting or finance (graduate degree in accounting preferred) as well as a CPA license or equivalent
Minimum of 6 years work experience in an accounting, financial analysis or financial services environment
Strong team, project management, and people development skills with an ability to work under tight deadlines
Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours as necessary
Strong analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, as well as a strong problem solving ability , an attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial approach to work
Strong organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
Previous work in current state/future state transformation (transition) preferred

Coach/mentor junior team members to help EY continue to build an inclusive culture and high performing team
