The Connected Growth Platform supports our strategy to become the most connected, responsive and insightful consulting firm. The CGP will focus on managed services, digital and emerging technologies (including cyber), service delivery centers, EY wavespace™ and select system implementation practices. The CGP capabilities will be infused into our service offerings and go-to-market execution to provide our clients with cross-sector insights and integrated capabilities across all government and public sector, commercial and financial services sectors in the US. The opportunity

EY’s Managed Services Strategy & Governance team formed to oversee the establishment of the managed services objectives, the development of strategic plans, the identification of company strengths and weaknesses, and business opportunities through thought leadership, collaboration and professional expertise. They will facilitate the integrated strategic planning process and prioritize key required supporting efforts to improve operational performance, product innovation, and competitive position.

Your key responsibilities

You will have the opportunity facilitate the definition of the entire managed services strategic agenda and critical business issues, recommend strategic action as a result of any analysis conducted, and collaborate input and continuous improvement into managed services strategic planning process. You will provide leadership, support, and analyses to develop, execute, and track the managed services strategy across multiple services lines.

  • Oversee the development and administration of the managed services strategic planning and governance process.

  • Understand the business offering needs and identify unmet or emerging opportunities across the managed services category.

  • Conduct analyses relating to business issues (EY capabilities, competitor actions, market dynamics, business models, emerging growth opportunities) using analytical frameworks and financial modeling skills

  • Play leadership role on strategy & governance initiatives (e.g., conversion strategy, brand development, etc.) and processes (e.g. Business management process, long-range plan, etc.)

  • Build/maintain appropriate financial models to support planning and analysis work

  • Provide strategic tracking of initiatives to ensure tradeoffs and growth targets are both realized

  • Build and maintain strong relationships – develop and own relationships with clients and internal delivery teams

  • Develop high-performing teams – manage and develop people through effective leadership, coaching and mentoring.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to analyze markets, performance data, and business issues and draw insight/conclusions

  • Analytical Rigor:Demonstrated ability to assess and understand a variety of internal and external economic and financial issues with impact to the business, to analyze data and forecast future business trends, and to develop strategic plans based on business needs and assessments, and financial modeling/analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills required to build relationships across business units for collaboration, data requests, and joint analysis. Strong facilitation skills to lead planning sessions. Familiarity of external data sources and ability to use them effectively to reach key conclusions.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree and approximately 6 years ofrelated work experience in a strategy consulting, corporate strategy or managed services environment; or a graduate degree (MBA, JD) and approximately 4 years of related work experience.

  • Experience within a managed services environment.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating the strategy planning experience, quantitative analysis and/or financial modeling.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentationsusing tools such as PowerPoint/Excel/Word

  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs and ability to travel internationally; travel is anticipated at 10% for employees based in the New York Metro area

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Work experience in a top-tier management consulting firm

  • Experience working within a managed services environment
