Job Summary:

The EYQ Market Strategy Leader will proactively drive the activation and commercialization of EYQ content across the firm and in the market. This will focus on identifying how to best translate the insights gleaned through market research and analysis into innovative and impactful market-driven and client-facing interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and overseeing the development of client engagement tools that will leverage EYQ content

  • Driving the concept of conversations in the market and bringing those to life – being sure to explore and leverage various technologies, concept and approaches

  • Activate and manage the EYQ Fellows network to maximize the potential of this advisory board

  • Working directly with a select number of clients on their CEO agenda. This will be performed in collaborate with EY Beacon, the Global Center for Board Matters (GCBM) and the Geostrategic Business Group (GBG) on this initiative

  • Providing new thinking and direction on the marketing strategy and execution

  • Working with the EYQ analysts to effectively leverage social media channels and amplification in the market

  • Undertake external client-facing activities and provide support in key pursuits

  • Uses independent judgment in identifying trends that translate into key market-facing initiatives

  • Utilizes a variety of analytical techniques and negotiating strategies to address problems

  • Knowledge about firm protocols around service offerings and service delivery

  • Analyzes and leverages various data points to develop and implement market-facing solutions

  • Strong knowledge and skills in analytics and strategic marketing

  • Generally does not have direct responsibility for supervising others, however must have strong influencing skills to work with (and through) others in order to accomplish goals

  • Receives minimal direction regarding broad goals

  • Work is reviewed against goals achieved rather than specific deliverables

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Demonstrates strategic business insight by contributing to strategic discussions with firm leaders as well as C-suite executives at EY clients and in the market

  • Deep business development, marketing strategy and marketing analytical skills

  • Confident in understanding multiple business drivers

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English

  • Ability to influence without formal authority - knowing the levers to gain buy-in, de-risk ideas, understand what motivates people, and how to align incentives

  • Demonstrates bias toward experimentation - willingness to try things in small doses to test and iterate

  • Comfortable with challenging the status quo

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Strong conflict resolution skills

  • Proven record ininventing and executing market-facing programs from concept to implementation

  • Excels in cultivating relationships to persuade, convince, and influence others

  • Displays the skills and knowledge to identify and leverage key supporters for change initiatives

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Knowledge of the project management process

  • Ability to interface and team with all levels of the organization

  • Possesses the ability to make independent decisions within the context of wider firm objectives

  • Demonstrates the ability to establish plans, goals, and measurements

  • Effectively develops standardized work procedures, introduces new processes, and oversees their implementation to for smooth operations and successfully support change

  • Advanced knowledge of social media strategy and execution is an advantage

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Must be willing to travel, including globally

  • Bachelor’s/University degree

  • An advanced degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 12+ years’ experience in business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising clients in the relevant community
