Financial Advisor, Strategy and Transactions (S&T) (Mergers & Acquisitions - Investment Banking Healthcare) (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.

Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information and conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment. Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Help clients make investment decisions, especially M&A decisions, by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Prepare plans of action for investment, using financial analyses. Prepare and present oral or written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries. Prepare compelling pitch books, offering/descriptive memoranda and related materials for M&A and capital raising mandates. Solicit prospective investors and buyers for M&A and capital raising mandates. Perform financial analysis, valuation analysis and pro forma financial modeling.

Provide leadership to employees and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services including monitoring progress and managing the engagement. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate and manage business development opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field plus 5 years of related work experience involving quantitative and qualitative analysis. Employer will accept a 3 or 4 year degree. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field plus 3 years of related work experience involving quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Must have 3 years of experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies, including Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, and/or Market Comparables, in one or a combination of the following:

  • within a business valuation firm and/or practice;

  • in a national valuation, investment banking, commercial banking, accounting, and/or financial research firm; and/or

  • in a corporate finance role for an organization.

Must have 3 years of experience working with clients in the healthcare and/ or life sciences industry, and in a project-based team environment.

Must have 3 years of experience in financial modeling including experience building models in MS Excel and related software.

Must have 3 years of experience in creating industry overview reports that summarize trends and the competitive landscape.

Must have 2 years of experience in creating compelling pitch books offering descriptive memoranda and related materials for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising mandates for companies in the healthcare and/or life sciences industry.

Must have 2 years of experience creating pivot tables for financial and valuation analyses within engagements for companies in the healthcare and/ or life sciences industry.

Must have 1 year of experience managing at least 2 team members and ensuring completion of work deliverables.

Must have 1 year of experience managing business valuation engagements for M&A, and financial reporting required in the healthcare and/ or life sciences industry.

Must meet one of the following criteria: Active SIE, Series 79, and/or Series 63 securities licenses, within one year of hire/promotion.

Travel required up to 25%, of which 5% may be international.
