As Resource Management Assistant Director, you'll be responsible for the staffing functions for a cluster within a sub-Area, or an entire sub-Area. You'll provide guidance and recommendations on the utilization of sub-Area resources. You'll also align resources to meet the strategic plan of both the sub-Area and the firm, as well as analyze operational results, and help develop staff. This position may require some travel and overtime is expected as needed.
Help provide strategic planning details and analyses, to develop the sub-Area's annual fiscal plan.
Participate in the forecasting process, to help resource management teams, best utilize their resource support.
Identify improvement to the continuous resource management process, and develop and share leading practices across sub-areas.
May discuss client staffing requirements with senior leaders, and better understand specific engagement needs.
May work with cross-functional teams to help with resource needs. This could involve: assigning counselors to resource analysts, selecting instructors for sponsored training programs, and managing the on-boarding needs of interns, staff hires and employees transferred to other positions.
May participate in campus recruiting events and office visits.
Manage the assignments of resource analysts, and report on their progress to sub-Area leaders.
Manage day-to-day operational activities of resource analysts.
Help resource analysts come up with alternative approaches to staffing issues.
Supervise resource management teams within the sub-Areas, and manage their performance.
Train resource analysts on the scheduling tool, as well as on sub-Area policies and procedures.
Delegates projects/tasks as appropriate, to enhance development opportunities.
To qualify, candidates must have:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 8-10 years of work experience.
Experience in a professional services firm desirable.
Strong project management and supervisory skills.
Adaptable to changing environments.
Excellent communication skills.
