Tax Advisor, Partnerships Transaction Planning and Economics Group (Manager) (Multiple Positions) Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Assist in the preparation of financial models and tools that help our clients execute a variety of financial transactions, including assets acquisition/disposition deals and reorganizations. Apply economics/finance principles to determine the various risk factors involved in a particular deal structure and/or industry segment. Prepare high-level reports for client presentations. Work at all levels of transaction structuring from evaluating alternative structures and bids through closing. Identify and implement operational efficiencies. Conduct tax strategy, planning, risk assessment, team management, engagement economics and ensure delivery of exceptional client service. Conduct analysis to improve effectiveness of the tax strategy and approach.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Management Science, Financial Engineering, or Statistics and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate relevant work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Management Science, Financial Engineering, or Statistics and 4 years of relevant work experience
Must have 4 years of experience and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Must have 3 years programming experience (VB and/or Matlab) and familiarity with financial software packages such as Fincad or other.
Must have 3 years of experience with Bloomberg data terminals
Must have 3 years of experience building complex tax partnership models and understanding tax technical concepts underlying partnership agreements.
Requires travel up to 40% in order to serve client needs.
