Assistant Manager – Power Platform

Data and Analytics team is a multi-disciplinary technology team delivering client projects and solutions across Data Management, Visualization, Business Analytics and Automation. The assignments cover a wide range of countries and industry sectors.

The opportunity

We are looking for Assistant Manager BI / Power Platform. The main purpose of the role is to help a product development team that works on conceptualizing, designing, developing, deploying and maintaining complex technology products which help EY solve business problems for the clients. The team is responsible for building multiple technology assets which form a part of a diverse product suite, to help our clients in the areas of valuations, diligence, divestitures, mergers and acquisitions.

Your key responsibilities

  • Understand the relevant business problems and design creative, engaging and easy to consume visual insights

  • Author and review of Power Platform design specifications; develop, review and unit test reports, dashboards and other visualizations as part of solutions

  • Responsible for developing Power Apps model & canvas steered apps

  • Installation and configurations of data gateways

  • Development of Azure logic apps and functions and Power BI development

  • Provide architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365.

  • Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.

  • Identify areas and processes where Microsoft 365, Office 365, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.

  • Manage mid-size projects, and ensure smooth service delivery on assigned products, engagements and/or geographies

  • Work with project managers to study resource needs and gaps, and devise alternative ways forward

  • Translate high-level business problems into a concrete technical requirements and work plans.

  • Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • Supervise, develop and mentor junior team members

  • Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members

  • Promote the use of current technologies and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided

  • Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices globally to develop GDS opportunities

  • Steer and develop participation in proposals and business development opportunities and participate in responding to proposals and new business opportunities.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform – (MS PowerApps), Power Automate (MS Flow) and SharePoint PowerBI is good to have

  • Knowledge on Power Virtual agents is a plus.

  • Experience in the study, design, development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps.

  • Experience developing new PowerApps models and canvas steered apps as well as enhancing existing apps.

  • Understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods.

  • Knowledge of Flow licensing Automating business processes with Microsoft Flow.

  • Ability to create custom connectors for Microsoft Flow.

  • Experience with API or rest services integrations Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources

  • Developing Azure logic apps Developing Azure functions Providing Power BI development and support.

  • Willing to learn edge Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies such as Dynamics 365 CRM, Office 365, Microsoft Azure.

  • Good To have: Good working knowledge on .Net, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, SQL and workflow creation

  • Experience of SQL and RDBMS technologies will be preferable.

  • Experience creating and configuring SharePoint intake workflow applications.

  • Experience developing modern apps for SharePoint Online.

  • Ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders

  • Experience of heading diverse teams, complex engagements, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximize performance.

  • Sound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovation

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills

  • Organized and structured in the completion of tasks.

  • Experience of working in an advisory/consulting/industry environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in computer science, or related field, required. Advanced degree

  • or equivalent business experience preferred

  • Fact steered thoughtfulness with excellent attention to details

  • Hands-on experience with data engineering tasks such as building systematic data records and experience manipulating and studying large volumes of data

  • Relevant work experience of minimum 6 to 8 years in a big 4 or technology/ consulting set up

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Ability to think strategically/end-to-end with result-oriented mindset

  • Ability to build rapport within the firm and win the trust of the clients

  • Willingness to travel extensively and to work on client sites / practice office locations

  • Project management skills

  • Exposure to tools like Tableau, Azure stack
