We are growing our Healthcare Advisory practice to support both providers and payers in addressing challenges and assuming industry leadership facing healthcare. Our dedicated healthcare advisory team focuses on providing advisory services in the following areas to enhance quality, efficiency and access to health services: supply chain management (focus on strategic sourcing, contract management, procure to pay, and inventory management), operational improvement and cost reduction, finance transformation and effectiveness, managed services, and shared services. Our Healthcare Supply Chain team works with a broad spectrum of not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare clients, including hospitals, regional health authorities, provincial governments and other health care provider organizations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Manager to work with our Supply Chain Healthcare team toconsistently drive projects to completion and determine that work is of high quality. Your role in leading teams and workstreams will depend on the size of engagement and will work collaboratively in client management working alongside our leadership team.

You will leverage your experience in healthcare to drive and create innovative insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives.

Client responsibilities

  • Participate and lead Supply Chain engagements

  • Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders

  • Participate in business development initiatives

  • Build strong internal relationships within Advisory and across other services

People Management responsibilities

  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff

  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff

  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Supply Chain professionals

  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills

  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

Technical skills requirements

You'll have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:

  • Experience in Sourcing and Procurement

  • Distribution and logistics

  • Demand planning

  • 5S, Lean or Six sigma principles and implementation

  • Rapid supply chain assessment

  • Tax effective supply chain

  • Inventory management

  • perating model design

  • A range of experience across the following : supplier collaboration, product lifecycle management, procurement, operations, fulfillment, after sales service and maintenance, return and recycle

Additional skills requirements

  • Track record with consulting firm

  • Experience in selling and delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of assessment, design and implementation support

  • Strong academic record including a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience

  • A professional designation is an asset (e.g., P.Eng., P.Log)

  • Proven experience in business development

  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (and know when to lead and when to follow)

  • Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • A high level of motivation and a self-starting attitude

  • An ability to think outside of the box, and thrive on new challenges

  • A willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 50%
