Operational Transaction Services (OTS) is a dedicated team with over 50 Management Consultants within EY’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) division that help clients achieve their strategic objectives in acquisitions and divestments.

We cover a wide range of operational aspects in a transaction, including synergy assessments, separation readiness and support, operational due diligence and supporting the integration process. Your key responsibilities

  • Developing and presenting key deliverables to clients

  • Identifying key client risks, issues and mitigating these ahead of time

  • Analysing and evaluating a company’s financials

  • Managing a small team and leading by the EY values

  • Acting as the main point of contact to our client

  • Reporting directly to Senior Managers, Directors and Partners

  • Supporting in business development activities

  • Collaborating widely with the broader Transaction Advisory Services Division and EY

Skills and attributes for success

We seek people with the following experience:

  • Experienced (2 – 5 years) record in professional services / management consulting or related corporate experience

  • Transaction experience, ideally in one or more relevant areas such as pre-deal transaction support, commercial and operational due diligence, synergy identification and assessment, post-merger integration or carve-out support and benefits realisation

  • Organisational transformation experience

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking

  • Ability to research companies and industries, synthesising and analysing a large set of qualitative and quantitative data

  • Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas

  • Developed written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering high-quality reports and presentations

  • Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and senior clients

  • Driven, but with high EQ and low ego

  • Team leadership skills, particularly teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, coupled with the ability develop juniors

  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and other research tools

  • Flexible with occasional travel requirements of client projects
