The opportunity

EY's external workforce continues to grow and expand globally. Our External Workforce Program is focused on building a globally consistent way to support this population through the lifecycle of their assignment with EY. We leverage GigNow, a proprietary software platform to direct source contingent workers for EY, and SAP Fieldglass to manage the end to end processes for each assignment.

We are looking for a full-time Project manager to join our global team and help drive continued adoption and expansion of the External Workforce program across the organization. This role is remote and will manage a variety of moderate to complex projects to support the global growth of the program. This role will require someone who is organized and action oriented; can build and maintain lasting relationships; knows how to work well within a team, across an organization, and with cross-functional partners. This role also requires someone with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, across a variety of audiences. Process, operations and technology enablement knowledge is essential to effectively engage multiple stakeholders across the organization and solve business problems.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of moderate to complex projects related to our external workforce, including new technology or process, growth and adoption, experience transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Responsible for project management, communications and events to support and build a global community of GigNow recruiters

  • Leads change management and communications initiatives related to the expansion of our external workforce program

  • Leverages understanding of the complexities associated with the non-employee lifecycle complexities to consult on well thought out suggestions for improvement

  • Understands and supports the program success measurements, including the ability to do effective process analysis, report quality results, and work to drive ongoing improvements

  • Explains complex issues and works to establish consensus; communicates issues and status to leadership and/or stakeholders

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Technology, Finance, Talent, Procurement)

  • Responsible for developing new ideas and strategies to support key business drivers

Skills and attributes for success

  • Manages moderate to complex projects that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, assign tasks and follow up on their completion and manage stakeholder expectations of the outcome of the deliverable

  • Understands and applies knowledge of the firm’s business, organizational structure and operations to effectively identify opportunities to support the firm’s strategy and key initiatives

  • Applies process and technology enablement knowledge to analyses and problem solving

  • Effectively consults leadership, presents recommendations and influences final decisions

  • Manages own portfolio of work and delegates tasks as needed

To qualify for the role you must have

  • In-depth knowledge and breadth of experience with project management practices and tools

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to assert ideas and influence others to gain support and commitment for shared projects

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong knowledge of change management principles

  • Ability to demonstrate strong cultural awareness skill to facilitate working in global teams and groups

  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities and influence the actions and decisions of others to bring focus to critical strategic issues

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio

  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Flexibility in working hours will be needed to accommodate global operations across Europe and Asia-Pac time zones

Ideal candidates will have the ability to work independently with minimal guidance, prioritize own deadlines and ability to delegate tasks to others. Additionally, the ability to escalate complex issues with recommendations to project leadership is essential.

What we offer

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published United States salary range/s.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for his job in most geographic locations in the US is $98 100 to $ 178 100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $ 117 700 to $ 202 400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
