Risk Management supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

As a Personal Independence Compliance Assistant Director, you’ll make educated, thoughtful decisions on Risk Management. Our brand depends on it. Your key responsibilities
You’ll contribute to one or more Q&RM process(es). To achieve this, you'll develop knowledge in this process and related areas. The process helps identify and mitigate risk in client and vendor relationships. You'll oversee or be involved in one or more Independence Process teams such as Business Relationships Evaluation and Tracking (BRET), Public Company Independence Procedures (PCIP), Independence Compliance Audit Group (ICAG), and liaise between the client teams and Q&RM. This will involve dealing with complex, non-standard issues within the process(es). You'll also recommend modifications and enhancements, help the process(es) continue to support firm priorities and needs. You'll work with executive-level personnel, train and mentor team members, and achieve effective day-to-day operation of the process team.
Skills and attributes for success
Use your knowledge and experience and refer to the firm's Independence and related policies and regulations, to identify appropriate opportunities and solutions
Work with Americas Independence executives and senior managers, to review submissions from client service and infrastructure teams. Confirm that these are complete and accurate, and that any proposed transaction, requests and responses are appropriate
Recommend ways to improve process(es), and/or develop new approaches, calling on your Q&RM and business experience
Resolve conflicts on complex or non - standard issues related to BRET, PCIP, personal independence or other Q&RM processes. This will involve utilizing technical, service line or core infrastructure knowledge
To qualify for the role you must have
Familiarity with Q&RM initiatives outside of your specific area
Project management skills to successfully handle multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
Ability to think strategically and handle complex concepts with sound problem-solving ability
A flexible approach
Demonstrated record of taking the initiative
Strong research and communications skills
Good working knowledge of computers and common software packages
7-10 plus years related experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Ideally, you’ll have
The ability to establish and implement project plans, including goals and measures. Follow up on all approved changes and enhancements to the process(es)
The ability to exercise significant levels of independent judgment and discretion when analyzing complex issues and risk across industry and service lines
The drive to keep abreast of emerging knowledge, trends and lessons learned. Create and deliver training presentations, to communicate new developments (and their impact) to clients and Q&RM team members

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $100,000 to $187,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $120,000 to $212,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
