Job Summary:

The Global 360 (G360) Account Manager Assistant Director is responsible for working with the Global Client Service Partner (GCSP), Business Development Leader (BDL) and Business Development Executive (BDE) to drive global account management; sales and program management; and account communications and administration. The Account Manager ensures that all locations and Service Lines of the firm are actively engaged around our largest, most complex global accounts and that we deliver Exceptional Client Service (ECS) in all internal and external encounters. The role manages one or more 360 accounts and works with the GCSP and global account team to achieve the goals for global revenue, margin and sales/pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Global account management:

  • Drives the key activities of EY’s Account ManagementFramework (AMF) through use of Account Team Sites

  • Co-develops account strategy with account leadershipand drive global execution of account plan

  • Drives service line planning activity and accountintegration

  • Prepares and facilitates account meetings

  • Responsible for follow-up on account actions bytracking progress against deadlines and driving activity

  • Understands both the clients business agenda and EYservices to enable leveraging the global EY network to connect our clientsto the right people

  • Develops and manages the account onboarding process andappropriate materials

  • Owns the Assessment of Service Quality (ASQ) process –develop the plan, attend interviews, drive action after interviews andyear-end follow-up

  • Act as a project manager for specific account activity

Sales and program management:

  • Manages the annual global revenue planning process withthe G360 BDL and GCSP

  • Manages select client relationships (e.g., procurement)

  • Owns and manages the Client Relationship Management(CRM) process

  • Co-develops the account relationship strategy,including management of the global relationship map

  • Manages the account pipeline process and drivediscipline across global team

  • Manages the pursuit process for opportunities, workingclosely with key partners

  • Executes win/loss debriefs

  • Identifies EY thought leadership and insights to beshared with the client

Communication and administration:

  • Serves as a central point of contact for allinformation related to the account

  • Leverage EY resources to support the account,including:

  • Off-shore Account Coordinator(s) if applicable –pipeline management, financial analysis, sales cycle support, clientresearch, plan management

  • EY Knowledge – Account Analysis, Quarterly earningscall summaries, travel packs on clients business, Account Team Site

  • Finance – Any financial needs of the account

  • Brand, Marketing and Communications – Account specificevents, targeted thought leadership

  • Administrative Support – Meeting scheduling and anyother administrative tasks

  • Global Sector/Industry – Identify market trends and EYinsights

  • Serve as the knowledge steward of the account and withthe assistance of EY Knowledge, connect global team to EY tools and clientbusiness issues

  • Lead connectivity of Account Managers/Coordinatorslocally and around the globe sharing best practice across EY accountnetwork

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Deep knowledge of account management processes and tools

  • Effective influencing and relationship building skillswith strong executive presence

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills,including strong command of English

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills

  • Leadership, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills

  • Strong attention to detail and sound organizationalskills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Proactive self-starter with a committed team orientedattitude

  • Industry knowledge e.g., Financial Services beneficial

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel,PowerPoint) skills preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present andinfluence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Strong business/commercial acumen

  • Understanding of major industry sector trends preferred

  • Proven ability to work and influence cross-functionallyand geographically and with a broad range of internal and externalstakeholders and departments

  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions basedon customer needs

  • Proven sound judgment and flexibility in balancingmultiple project requirements, tight deadlines, and keeping people andprojects moving on schedule, with high attention to detail

  • Ability to work flexible hours to prepare materials forclients

  • Ability to travel to the client and other EY offices;depending on the global nature of client, overseas travel maybe required

  • Professional Project Management certification preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in Marketing or Businesspreferred) or equivalent relevant experience

  • Approximately 7 or more years of account management orsimilar relevant experience, ideally gained within a global multinationalcompany

  • Professional Services experience preferred
