The Life Sciences group is a part of the Global Life Sciences Center, which focuses on biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team, and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business performance management, analytics enablement, growth/strategy, process improvement, cost reduction, technology implementation and enterprise transformation.
Your key responsibilities
Most of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.

Monitoring progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
Providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members
Leading large scale decentralized clinical trials platform implementation / transformation, including implementing mechanisms to support more diversity in clinical trials
Fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
Playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization
Generating new business opportunities
Understanding EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients
Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
Demonstrating deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
5+ years of consulting in Life Sciences work experience
Proven experience in within Research and Development (specifically, clinical trials start-up/activation and management)
Demonstrated record of driving revenue within existing life sciences clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of large life sciences companies
Ability to lead a team of consulting professionals on multiple projects
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 50 to 80% (given the pandemic, currently majority of the work is performed virtually)
Ideally, you'll also have
Medical background and experience in various aspects of clinical trials administration and management
PhD in some medical related field or research (for R&D candidates) – with related life sciences consulting experience
